Newness

So, for the last few days I have been creeping on people’s blogs (mostly makeup and nail inspired blogs – because that is what I love!!) and then it occurred to me that maybe I should just make my own blog so that I can add all these blogs so I don’t have to be like ‘oh yeah, I was creeping that one girls’ blog with the cool nail art and found that other girl with the awesome make-up, gee, what was her username again?’

And now Dee’s Stuff is born.

I stay ‘stuff’ because I am not going to just post about makeup or nail polish, but also about art, movies, gaming, etc, because, well, I like all of these things. I have realized that as I have gotten older (23 since April 4th, yay!) I have slowly become more girly. Verrry slowly. I will probably never be a complete girly-girl, but hey, it is a step forward! I have also started to a get a bit more comfortable in accepting who I am and what I can do. So hopefully I won’t get laughed out of blogspot with my ‘skillz’.

Anyways, I will leave off with this opener for now. And with this little quiz result.

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well!
