Random Tip

No, not a song title.. I will save those for nail polish posts.. This post is just a random tip!

So, my mother was watching 'Oprah' the other day and Dr. Oz (I hope that is the correct name..) came on and was giving 'beauty tips'. ANYWAYS! The one my mom paid closer attention to was the one about foot care.

If you have rough skin on the bottom of your feet, or even worse, the white flakey/chalky skin (I was closer to this category, gross, I know!)

What you need to get rid of the yucky whiteness is use Oxy/Stridex/Clearasil pads (any that have the 2% salicylic acid - which is pretty much all of them..), vaseline or cocao butter and some socks.

-Start off with a clean foot (preferrably) and swip all over with the pad
-Slather on your vaseline or cocao butter
-Slap on a sock
-Repeat to other foot

I have been doing this for five days now.. And HUGE difference. I spend a lot of time on my feet/walking around, especially with work and everything else. I really never think twice about the damage done to my feet. Now that they are not rough or with all that buildup of skin - they look awesome! I am so excited and reccomend this to anyone.. Hopefully this will help someone out like it has helped me.

I was pretty much the tester in my family. Now that my mom and sister have seen the results, they are like 'oh, maybe I should try this!'

Nice to hear that it really works. I wonder if it's expensive to keep using it. I also wonder if you have to use it everyday.

I think the stack of 90 Clearsil pads I bought was on sale for $3-something.. And vaseline isn't too bad for a large jar.. So I would say it is under $10 with maybe a pair of socks thrown in :D

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
