Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go

80s Music = love. This song is by WHAM! and is a smile enducer!

Sorry I have disappeared for a bit. I am having some strange issues with.. well.. everything. I am tired all the time (even with 12+ hours of sleep).. This happens once every few years, but usually lasts like a day or three with extreme exhaustion.. This has been going on for about two weeks. Blah. No one is here for a health update though eh! On to the nail-age.

I had been lazy in my absence.. We had a cat staying with us for just under a week, and that drives the rabbits nuts and he cannot go into the basement.. etc. I will share a photo of the cat and of the only male rabbit in the house that stands on guard as soon as the cat enters the house. Nails first though!

I followed this video tutorial.. Well, not really followed it.. I just used it for inspiration. I had done something like this years ago.. But it was fun and I got a few compliments on it.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32GounXRksY&feature=related - check it out! Then I did this one at like.. 6am.. I couldn't sleep. I was in extreme pain, so why not paint my nails instead? Seems like a great idea to me! I saw a picture of something similar somewhere online.. So I used the colours and just went with it. They are crazy and overly dotted and I like them!

Yay cute animal photo! This is 'The Fonze' or 'Fonny' as I like to call him. He was the only male born rabbit in the family annnnd he is orange! He is on red alert when the cat arrives. He stands guard in his cage and thumps his feet constantly. Kind of annoying since my room is the other side of the basement and I can hear his thumping ALL NIGHT LONG! So I brought him out to hang out with me while I read. Then he was guarding my book, so I had to snap a photo. The only thing you cannot see is his awesome white mitt - which we lovingly refer to as his Michael Jackson mitt. So cute.

This is Rick James or RJ or even (Don) Rickles.. He is the arch nemesis of Fonny.. On his last day in the house I let him come downstairs to hang out around Fonze because all the girls were outside (there are five rabbits in total). All RJ did was sit on my computer chair and watch Fonny, so I snagged a photo.

Hopefully I'll start updating a bit more.. As soon as this whole lethargic episode ends. I seriously feel like the walking dead. Blahblahblah! I think I am going to go take off my makeup and nap.. Which by nap I mean sleep, I swear I could sleep through til morning as of right now.

Love both of your nails designs. Each is so different and beautiful! I'm partial to the dots. Cute bunny and cat. Cats love to chase bunnies. I had 2 cats and they we're always hunting I'm sorry to say. Can't change a cats natural instincts. I never enjoyed when my cat would bring me a dead bird as a present. I would always yell at them if they looked like they were stalking anything. I can understand your sleep problems. Sometimes I'm up 24 hours and then sleep for 4 and then I go back to normal for a bit. I'm usually exhausted for awhile. I'm now trying to get to sleep at a regular time again. I can read about other things than polish. Makes a blog more interesting.

Ahh!! You sound exactly like me! Stay awake for 24+ hours, sleep for a few, repeat. SO BAD!

Oh, I know it is in his nature to go after the rabbits, but it almost makes me feel bad that we offer to take care of him because he is coming into the rabbits' home.. And they get so nervous.. Well.. they are all the time anyways.. But still!!

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!
