Psycho Killer *Pic Heavyish*

By The Talking Heads. This is a band that my dad loves, and I didn't mind it when he listened to their albums, but this song is hands down my fave! There are just songs that I enjoy for certain elements. The element that I like in this song? They sing a bit in FRENCH! Maybe that is why I love 'Bad Romance' so much.. I digress.

Before I show you what I am currently sporting on my fingernails, I must show you all a gift I (ok, my sister and I) received. Two of our co-workers just got back from Hawaii, and they picked up this set for us..

Pretty eh? They are called 'Island Girl: Hawaii' and they are lovely! Sadly the green polish appears to be the only one with a label (it is called 'Aloha Girl') - I might have to check out the website listed on the side to see if I can find some more colour names! I love the names listed on polish - sometimes that is half the fun!! I will try to maybe get some swatching done on the fake nails I still have lying around the place.

SO! Here was my quick design.. My sis and I were watching movies last night, and I decided that having my nails naked for 2+ days was long enough. I saw this photo before I logged off:

I didn't do mine exactly the same.. Hence the inspiration.. Anyways..

My sister says it looks like creepy trees.. Which I like. Because creepy = good to me! I think I will be changing my nails either tomorrow (err.. later today..) or Saturday afternoon at the latest. I need something new for NEW MOON! That is correct.. I am a Twi-Hard, I'll admit it. My favourite friend and I are going on Saturday night to see it.. Supper first, then some sweet vampire/wolf movie time. I am pro-Team Edward by the by.

Anyways! Hope everyone had a terrific Thursday and are prepared to have a fabulous Friday!

OH! And I just wanted to send out a mondo-huge THANKIES to Tuli for sending me an email and letting me know that my comments weren't working. You're a doll!!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Day 27: The Hungry Asian Cookies (and) Cream

Hey everyone! I decided that for today and tomorrow (my last day - eeek!) that I would choose two polish that mean something to me. Today I am going to be sharing Cookies & Cream made by the awesome Kae aka The Hungry Asian. When I first started blogging, I immediately started following her. She is the reason behind many of my polish purchases.. heh. She started "frakening" polish awhile back.. and I had a HUGE lemming for Cookies & Cream - but, at the time, she wasn't shipping to Canada. Then, when she started to ship to Canada, I would always miss the restock times.. Then I just sort of.. forgot about it. Then, a little while back, while stumbling through all the amazing gems on etsy.. I saw a photo.. I didn't need to see the seller or the name.. I knew. It was ordered almost immediately. And it has sat.. until now. It still makes me heart smile. And now that it is mine? Constant smiling heart! I decided to not use undies on this. It is

Terrazzo Inspired Nails

Hey everyone! Will speed-race past a whole 'sorry I have been away' write-up and just go straight to the goods. I apologize in advance for my VERY dry cuticles (I cleaned up as much as I could in edit mode.. but, still bad) - I have been applying oil and lotions multiple times per day for.. weeks.. and.. no beneficial results, sadly. I went with terrazzo print inspired nails for this go-round. I started with a base coat, then OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI, then, using the brush for the each nail polish, I went in with: OPI Suzi Shops & Island Hops, OPI Sailing & Nail-ing, OPI Amazon...Amazoff, China Glaze Liquid Leather, China Glaze Sweet Hook, Essie Chinchilly, Color Club Je Ne Sasi Quoi, and Sally Hansen White On - then finally topped with Seche Vite. I am hoping to slowly creep back into regularly posting new content here - so, stay tuned!
