Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet

By Fall Out Boy. I have been on such a FOB kick lately. I have always liked their music, but have stepped it up alot lately. To listen to this track, click play on my music player to the left and enjoy!! I have probably listened to this song 100 times within 3 days. Seriously.

Ok.. So! Last Friday was pay day, a pay day I was dreading because I had been super sick.. I had asked for $350 from my vacation pay balance so that I would have a pay cheque and be able to pay my bills and live quietly til the next PD. Well, my boss is amazing and found out I had some stored sick days (I didn't even know this!) plus I had picked up a few hours here and there.. Anyways! I walked away with a VERY nice pay cheque. What do I do when I have extra funds? I shop.

What did I want though? Well.. I wanted new jeans, so I bought a new pair of jeans that I LOVE! Plus two black long sleeve shirts, fairly plain for the most part.. but that is so that my new scarves take center stage! I have always loved the scarf look, but didn't think I could pull it off.. I can! Yay!

I bought these two beauties at a 'going out of business' sale for $5 each. I am unimpressed with how the scarf on the left photographed! It has this amazing gold threading throughout it and it is shimmery. Ahh well!

Then.. my mom wanted to go to 'Dutch Growers', which is supposed to be just a flower/plant superstore, but it is actually a supplier of Konad here (weird eh?).. so I agreed to go with.. AND! They had the OPI holiday collection.. I was super pumped and got my mitts* on Sapphire In The Snow. I also picked up my third replacement bottle of Alpine snow. Plus another scarf. Two are pictured here because the next day my sister and her friend went, and I asked her to grab this other one I was eyeing up.. Anyways!

The only thing I am disappointed about is the nailpolish price! They weren't listed, but I figured MAXIMUM $10.. No.. $12. It is waaaay cheaper for me to order polishes in. But whatever. I NEEDED these two. Hah!

I am in love with SITS - I swear it was made for me! I cannot stop looking at my nails! I had them just plain for a day.. But realized plain polish is not me.

Sapphire.. met A Grape Fit! I love them together! My two favourite purple-y polishes united? LOVE!

*I mentioned mitts up above.. My mitts that I had ordered from http://www.etsy.com/ arrived awhile back.. I LOVE THEM!!! (I am full of love lately.. huh).

They are made by iLzeDR - and let me tell you, she is amazing! I messaged her about their warmth factor because I live in a place where we can see -60C (-76F) and I want my mitts to be WARM so my hands don't freeze. She offered to make them out of wool and add liner inside. Let me tell you, these bad boys keep my hands TOASTY!! I also like the length of them! So great!

Anyways.. That is my massive update post. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone :D

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!
