Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

By Sir Elton John. I love him!! I don't like all his songs, but the tunes I do like I end up playing a ton. Like this one. It is just so good! For some reason it calms me down. I think I have listened to it over 100 times in the last few days.. Since my beautiful little baby DJ passed away (sadface x 1 million.)

Hello lovelies!! I have a post with a slight tutorial with it. When doing this tutorial business I noticed something: my camera is terribad!! We have been together for.. 3 years now I think.. And he is just so outdated. My sister bought herself a camera around Christmastime that has 12.whatever mega pixels and the picture she takes are STUNNING! My little bad boy here has 7.2, which isn't terrible, but I am wondering if someone has done something to my camera and hasn't told me :(

Plus I think I should look into building a lightbox for my photos as well. Maybe I will get on with that today.

PLUS! I am going to making another post hopefully later today with an idea I thought up yesterday! Ok, now to the photoy-goodness..

The Finished Look

The Steps

I am not sure if the guide will be helpful, but I figured if someone saw this wacky look and wanted to know how to go about executing it, I would lend a hand! I used a bobby pin for the dots and just went for it. I came across this photo (it was just an image littered amongst many others from a Japanese nail art magazine) and I knew I had to try it.

For the most part I do really like it.. I think the black 'strap' is strange though.. Not to say I don't like it.. It is just really different!!

Oh, and a quick snap of what I picked up at CosmoProf the other day..
Alrighty.. Time for me to go do some cleanup.. And not on my nails (heh) - and I tried clean up around the edges with acetone.. Black polish + acetone = angry stained skin!!

  •  gildedangel - Thank you doll! I will let my sister see that comment - she will be pleased!
  • Danielle - Thank you for assuring me I am not totally out to lunch!! And good eye - there is some tiny pink 'particles' within the polish!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
