The Dotted Ribbon

Sorry, just have time for a quick post. Feels like forever since I used a song title for my post. AND answered comments. I promise (for real this time!) that I will catch up on all the stuff next time.

I was super pumped to show off this look, but upon closer inspection of the pictures (and after getting a couple hours of sleep instead of being up for 40 some hours..) I am disappointed by all the black dot 'dragging'. I really need a new black nail art pen, BUT, the brand that I like hasn't been restocked in a loooong time at CosmoProf, makes me extremely worried. Plus I cannot find them online. Scary!!

Anyways, another mani that looks better in real life (and from a bit of a distance) I still like it. Every time I glance down, I am reminded of something but can never bring to words what it is that I am reminded of. Grr!

The base colour is OPI Dim Sum Plum, which, of course, didn't photograph as it should. It is truly an amazing shade. I cannot believe I waited so long to test it out.

Gah! Silly black!! Ruined it.. Ahh well, I still like it.. OH! And, I have come across so many nail art magazine downloads.. It is scary. I am going to try and post one at least once a week (maybe twice once I get going) See, I want to change my polish everyday, but I already get strange glances from the two times I do it a week. Oh well, that is just something I will have to deal with!

I will shuddup now! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday.. And I will talk to you all soon with a proper post!!

P.S - I snipped my nails down a smidgen.. I decided to snip them before one of them got caught on something ridiculous and ripped off down to the quick. I know, genius!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
