Happy Birthday To ME!!

Technically it is on Sunday, April 4th (aka Easter Sunday.. overshadowed by a holiday.. blast!) But no big deal, I am still super pumped!!

This evening, during supper, my sister was like 'want to open your gift from me?' - My family has never been one to wait to give gifts to each other..

I was SUPER SUPER SUPER EXCITED when I removed the tissue paper and there in front of me was..

I know, it isn't nail polish, which would have been amazing as well, but no.. It is something that I have wanted for such a long time!! I have my ipod 30G classic.. But I really wanted an ipod touch.. oh gosh, she is so pretty!! I am doing this now before I have to go setup and play with this gem!! OH! And metallic green comfort fit ibuds! woo! The buds they send with the ipod products hurt my tragus piercing.. Anyways!!

These were my nails from a couple of days ago.. Just something easy to get through my managing shifts. This was after three days of work.. Including dishes and laundry and all that fun stuff.

And now my Easter nails! I was excited to find this tutorial on youtube (BeenaBop I do believe!!) I knew I was going to do 'Easter eggs', but one of the residents requested chicks on my nails, I said we would see.. And then I saw this and it was perfect! The application, not so much.. I rushed it to game for a bit - what a nerd!!

Anways, I hope everyone has a terrific Thursday and have a Happy (Hoppy!!) Easter!! I am going to chow down on some delicious mini eggs (that will now be available all year.. I am going to have to improve on my exercise program!!) and get my new baby working!! Woo!!

I will answer all comments on my next entry, promise!!

Happy Birthday! Mine is Jan 1st so I completely sympathize with being overshadowed by a holiday. :(

And I love both of your manicures!

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!
