Post 100 (Pic Heavy-ish)

My 100th post.. I spose it isn't the most impressive milestone, but I am still pretty happy about it!!

All I really have to post about is all the goodies I have acquired lately. And by goodies, I mean polishes!!

I bought these gems before I went away for surgery.. Actually a week or two before.. I just had them hidden away in a bag.. Until now! The photo (from l to r) is OPI Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees Suede, OPI Manicure/Pedicure Papaya Pineapple Scrub (this smells amazing! I used this before I went away for surgery - cannot wait to use it again..) & a backup of CG Strong Adhesion Base Coat (seriously, I love this bade coat!!!)

I snagged these two bad boys from London Drugs last week.. Notice something with the bottle of OPI Alpine Snow? Right at the 'O', the serial number has been filed away. I *almost* put this back, but I was in desperate need for another (yes, another, this is bottle 4..) bottle.. BUT! The main reason for going to LD was to get Seche Vite  as it is the only store in my city that seems to carry that beautiful stuff. Yeah, that is my third bottle. Technically I am working on bottle 1 and 2, but it will never hurt to have another backup.. Right?

Last, but not least, is my TD order. It showed up on Friday - YAY! 2/4 deliveries of my recent online shopping spree are here - glad this was one of them!! From l to r we have: Orly Viridian Vinyl, Orly Purple Pleather, CG Ingrid, CG First Class Ticket, CG Midnight Mission, CC High Society, CC Warhol, CC Mrs. Robinson & CC Twiggie (not pictured is the large bottle of lotion I also ordered)

And this is what my nails currently look like. I had about 30 mins to do my nails before running out and doing errands.. So of course I had to attempt to do something to my nails. I couldn't resist Twiggie's calls!! I am none to pleased with my mani-action, but that is ok! It was just something to cover my nails for a day or three.

I will also post up what WOULD have been my PHD challenge entry had I remembered to actually try to somehow photograph them. I am sad that I couldn't figure out a way - I kind of adore them. PLUS they made me make a FRANKEN POLISH!! I will probably get that post ready for Monday or something.

For now, I have to finish off this 1/2c of Peanut Butter Chocolate Explosion protein drink (even with this bad boy, my protein intake for the day will be too low.. GRR!! I don't want my hair to fall out!!) and then most likely pass out with my book. I am eh so sleepy lately!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!

  • jaljen - Thankies! I am glad you agree (:
  • Tierney - He is my adorable little fellow! He is so ridiculous now.. We discovered he LOVES sunflower seeds, so.. I would give him one to shell and while he was working on that one, I would shell another for him.. I bought a HUGE unsalted shelled bag last night.. He basically runs to his bars anytime someone comes down and begs for a sunflower seed!!
  • Niki* - Thankies! I love him!! And the nails aren't too shabby either (:
  • Pretty - Thank yoooou (:

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
