Innocent Mani

I would have to say that this is probably the most innocent looking mani I have ever seen.

I always loved the konad stamp that I used for this look. I was so excited when I realized it was on one of the plates that I won.. I feel with that using that image over this green looks.. Well, innocent. I cannot think of anything else to say about it.

I feel like a young girl about to have a tea party with her stuffed animals or something.

You might also notice that I clipped off my longer nails. I went back to work this past weekend, and while none of my nails were broken, there were a few chips and I just think it will be easier to have my nails a wee bit shorter. Right now they are a bit shorter than I would like them to be, but I must admit that typing is MUCH EASIER!

Now to the photos..

I used 2 coats of CG Re-Fresh Mint, then stamped with Konad special polish in white and sealed with Seche Vite. I am really pleased with Re-Fresh Mint, it is everything I thought it would be and more! I quite like this shade of green.

Now it is just time to rest. I went on some weird cleaning rampage today.. I think it was because I am feeling guilty. I was back to work on Sunday and Monday.. Today? I slept until really late in the afternoon. Whoops! Back to work again tomorrow, then some time off until Sunday again. I am tired just thinking about it!

Hope everyone is having a great day - and had an enjoyable long weekend!!

  • shortwidenails - Thank you! I actually do seem to be going through a lucky streak lately!! I actually really like the double ended stamper.. It gives you two options size-wise. I use the larger red stamper for full sized images (except for on my pinky nail as it is quite a bit smaller), and the little green stamper for smaller images as it gives you more placement freedom. All in all, I would say it is a good investment. If you're really thinking about getting one, let me know! I have a spare kicking around that will probably only collect dust!!

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!
