Skeleton Leaf

Hello everyone! Hope you're all having a great Thursday!

I am going to show you a look I did last night, but, I didn't know how it would turn out, so I had only painted one hand, then removed it. BUT! I actually really do like this look.

I used CG Midnight Mission (dark blue) and Diamond Cosmetics Blue Diamonds as well as OPI Alpine Snow. I was originally going to just use one blue, but I couldn't decide between these two gems, so why not use both?!

The inspiration behind this mani was this photo..

I was trying to film a tutorial on a different look today.. The filming wasn't going too badly, but I messed up a bunch of times.. SO! I will give it another whirl either later today or maybe tomorrow - I really do want to start filming tutorials.. Plus I have a genius film editing brother that I want to put to good use.

Anyways, that is all for now. Enjoy the rest of your day (:

  • April - Thankies! You should totally do them as well!!
  • shortwidenails - Awe! Thank you so much - I am really happy that it helped to brighten your day. I knew I was sending those goodies in to good hands!! She usually does her own and I do my own. I think I have helped her with a design twice? And I do believe I have asked for her assistance once.. I am trying to convince her to let me post her manis on here as well! I think I almost have her to her breaking point.. Ugh! I totally didn't know about Movember! I love that! Please do these then, I look forward to seeing them!! I am working up my nerves to photo posting - haha! And don't feel silly about the dish pit thing.. I could have been calling anything that - right!!
  • Zara - Thank you, thank you!
  • Pixie D - Haha, glad you like them (:

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
