Guest Nails Vol. 1

Hey everyone! I feel like I haven't posted in FOREVER! For that, I do apologize. Work has been kicking my ace lately.. And now that I have a few days off, I am totally slacking. Ugh. Yesterday, my friend (and awesome co-worker) Amy stopped by. She had asked if I could do her nails for Halloween. I was pretty excited to be asked because I have only done one other persons nails.. aka my mom. Ok, and I have helped my sister.. Once. ANYWAYS! I do believe her and some of her friends are dressing up as The Pussycat Dolls (awesome) and she wanted her nails to match this smokin' cheetah print bra she has. The nails photographed a bit brighter than they really are! And I left her a bit of a mess due to the sponging! We started off with OPI Dim Sum Plum, then we sponged some combo of Quirius Purple Passion, CC Warhol, Island Girl Hawaii Purple and CC Mrs. Robinson and this is what the outcome was. She said she likes them and I do as well! It was fun to do someone elses'

Fail Nails

Good day everyone! Today I am bringing you a couple of fail nails. I decided to post these up regardless of how terrible they are.. Just to be honest and show that not everything I attempt works out. Here is the first set. Ugh. I think the moons are what I hate the most. These just didn't work. These I actually liked.. Except for the fact that my middle finger chipped after 1 day!! That NEVER happens to me anymore. Sure, I was at work.. But still, usually does not happen after a single day. And I actually should have reversed Ick-A-Bod-Y and Breakin', but oh well!! I really shouldn't even bother painting my nails today as I have a bunch of work in the next week.. But oh well! I probably will anyways. I really want to try that infected stitches look that Dollface posted up the other day!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I am going to be enjoying some delicious Thanksgiving supper this evening.. We pushed it back a week to enjoy with the uncle that is visi

Turn That Frankenstein...

...Into A Frankenfine.. I'm sorry. I'm slightly sleep deprived and have random quotes swimming in my mind. I am pretty sure that is from Dodgeball.. I just got back from my travels to my 3 month post-op appointment (I have to travel to another city (Regina), which is about 2.5 hours away..) - AND - All appears to be going quite well for me. On the way home, the father and I made detours and I got four massive pumpkins! 2 for moi and 2 for the sister. 4 pumpkins weighing in at a grand total of 108 lbs! Insanity! Now I have to figure out what I want to carve.. Or possibly make stencils (my genius favourite friend explained pumpkin stencil making to me the other day.. I would have never guessed!) Anyways! Enough about my day.. Well, the beginning of my day. I am going to show you all what I am currently sporting. The video tutorial (not by me!) can be found HERE . I have been getting compliments by everyone. And, they are super easy to do! And.. well, they are quite cute!

That Bloody Thing

Yay October! Like many of you out there, October is my favourite time of year. My favourite season (fall), my favourite month and my favourite 'holiday'.. Actually, technically I have to be careful when saying that as I am Canadian and we do have a legit holiday this month.. Which is Thanksgiving! Woo! But I am talking about that pseudo holiday, Halloween. I decided month and months ago that I would dedicate the month of October to strictly Halloween-esque nails. And I am staying true to my word. The problem? The other day on Polish or Perish , one of the members posted THIS and I fell in love! I can no longer drink soda.. Which isn't so bad, but someday I want a glass so bad.. No idea why. Sort of weird. My favourite soda was/is Dr. Pepper, so when this Dr. Pepper mani was posted up I knew I had to do it. In my mind it would stomp that craving for some smooth DP. So. I did it. LOVED it. Then, 3 hours later, I was bored. And I realized we're in October. Duh Dee,
