A Comparison To Ease My Mind

The other day I ventured in to the Chatters supply store.. Now, in my defense, I was actually trying to find a bottle of Party Hearty for someone else (: BUT! Of course I was snooping around.. Me snooping around nail polish is never a good idea. I picked up a bottle of Little Drummer Boy.. And LOVED it. Then more wandering.. Then I looked at it again and put it back.. Because my mind was telling me I had something really close to it at home. After setting it back down, I found the Burlesque collection.. And nabbed a bottle of Glow Up Already (green glitter.. of course I had to have it!).. I was about to pay, but instead I turned around and grabbed Little Drummer Boy again. When I got home.. I looked at Little Drummer Boy with delight, but that nagging feeling came back. I searched through the polish collection and spotted Midnight Mission. My brain yelled 'see! see! SEE!!!!' Little Drummer Boy is on the left, Midnight Mission to the right. To my absolute delight.. They

Striped Nails

Hello everyone! I bring you my striped nails that I did the other day.. The idea is actually from an image that I made a few years back as a background for a webpage.. I was clicking on my picture folder and just before I could head over to my nail art inspiration video, I saw that image and thought it was perfect for some nail art! For this look I used: OPI Alpine Snow, CG Liquid Leather, OPI Who The Shrek Are You?, Quirius Lucy Diamond & CG Heli-Yum. ALSO.. If any of you are interested.. I made a VIDEO to go along with this post. Yeah, I finally made a video! I had my awesome brother edit it.. I think I am going to need his help for a bit longer. He uses vegas as an editor.. He made it look so easy and I know it really isn't that easy! Anyways, please, check out the video and lemme know what you think!! Also, since I can do videos now.. Is there a look I have posted up before that you want to see done as a tutorial? Let me know and I will comply!! I hope everyo

Boredom Overcome By Party Hearty

Hello everyone! I have a day off today.. And quickly became very bored. I started working on making a light box.. And then I sliced myself and didn't want to do a perfect job anymore (heh). Then, as I was tending to my newly self inflicted wound, I noticed my nails were bare.. So I then picked out nine random bottles.. Well, not really random.. But it'll look that way! In this lineup we have: CG OMG, Liquid Leather, Jolly Holly & Midnight Kiss; Essie Mesmerize & Lolipop (side note: I just noticed that Essie 'Lollipop' is just 1 l.. Geez louise! I always was using deux l's..) ; OPI Alpine Snow & Sapphire In The Snow; BYS Yellow Sunshine. Now, you're probably thinking that is the strangest polishes together.. And you're right. I do some weird combos, but I don't think I would be able to do something with all of these gems.. Oh right, the post title. You caught me. They are all going to be meeting up with.. This guy, CG Party Hearty.

The Sister's Haul

Hey everyone!! Sorry I haven't posted yet this week - I honestly do not know where the week went! I have a photo to post of the polishes that my sister hauled recently. She was out and about (aka shopping) and had phoned me while I was at work to let me know she had bought some China Glaze pack and an OPI polish. Once she told me it was from the Christmas collection, I was immediately asking her if she saw a polish called 'Party Hearty' - she had. She didn't buy that one though, she had bought the trio pack with the two greens (Mistletoe Kisses & Jolly Holly) as well as a gold (Midnight Kiss). She was also pumped because they had a display for the Burlesque collection - she picked up Sparkle-icious - which I was really happy about as it was on my list to buy! So, starting from the top: CG Midnight Kiss & Mistletoe Kisses, OPI Sparkle-icious, CG Party Hearty & Jolly Holly. Oh, wait - what is that? You see Party Hearty when I said she didn't pick i

Let's Get Geometrical

Actually, that would probably be a horrible idea right now! I have some weirdo flu-like symptoms going on - minus out my least favourite one.. So, it really isn't that bad. I am lying though. I feel like I was hit by a bus. Every joint hurts, my knees buckle as I walk from point A (the couch) to point B (the bed) - I have extreme headaches and when I turn to look sideways - awesome shooting pain! Bleh. I just figured I would make this post quickly, then head back to bed!! I saw this look on SuPa Nails and really liked it. I just changed up the colours a bit.. Well, I used green instead of yellow and grey instead of purple.. Anyways! I do apologize for the photo. That is about as good as it is going to get until I can concentrate ): Polishes used are: Orly Mirror Mirror, OPI What's With The Cattitude?, Color Club Twiggie, OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender. Next time, I think I want to partake in this accent nailage posted by MeganChair - check them out! So pretty!!

Connect The Dots

I decided to scour through my Nail Art Inspiration folder, and found this fun and simple look! I thought it would be perfect after a bunch of Halloween nail art (: I used: CG Lemon Fizz, Essie Mint Candy Apple, CG White Out, OPI A Shorts Story, Finger Paints Leonardo Da Vin-Pink & Essie Mesmorize. Simple and fun! I even clipped down my nails again - just a smidge. I am really enjoying shorter nails.. For now!! I hope everyone has had a great start to November!! Answered from the Fail Nails post: Freshie - He is very adorable! I am glad that they do seem to get along as they are both alone all the time! I let them be together for a few minutes every few days - seems to keep them happy!! Zara - Thankies! I agree!! JQ - I figure I might as well be honest.. Not everything I do is photo-worthy, but I figure I can show that I do some terri-bad stuff as well - I am human!! I am going to have to keep my eyes wide open at Winner's from now on!! I would have probably passe

Dry Eyes

That is currently what my fingernails are suffering from.. I had seen a photo tutorial on the eyeballs via youtube, but I went my own way.. I even added an extra white dot on the eyes.. Made them seem more.. real? Also, I am a super nerd. The eye colours differ because they are the eye colours belonging to each one of my family members. Dad = thumb; Mom = index; Me = middle; Sis = ring & Bro = pinky. Technically, even though my brother and I both have green eyes, his are more.. interesting than mine. But I wasn't going to go in to that much detail!! This is my final Halloween look for the year :( Well, I mean, I may or may not do things that could be done for Halloween, but I digress. Now on to some random shots of my Halloween evening.. I hope everyone had a super fun Halloween! The first two pumpkins are mine, followed by Jigsaw creepily starring in at me through one of the windows, and finally a shot of all the pumpkins - my sister's is 'Bloody Mary&#
