A Comparison To Ease My Mind

The other day I ventured in to the Chatters supply store.. Now, in my defense, I was actually trying to find a bottle of Party Hearty for someone else (: BUT! Of course I was snooping around.. Me snooping around nail polish is never a good idea.

I picked up a bottle of Little Drummer Boy.. And LOVED it. Then more wandering.. Then I looked at it again and put it back.. Because my mind was telling me I had something really close to it at home. After setting it back down, I found the Burlesque collection.. And nabbed a bottle of Glow Up Already (green glitter.. of course I had to have it!).. I was about to pay, but instead I turned around and grabbed Little Drummer Boy again.

When I got home.. I looked at Little Drummer Boy with delight, but that nagging feeling came back. I searched through the polish collection and spotted Midnight Mission. My brain yelled 'see! see! SEE!!!!'

Little Drummer Boy is on the left, Midnight Mission to the right. To my absolute delight.. They are quite different! I now feel I am justified to own both! Though.. I have to say.. Midnight Mission looks like Russian Navy Suede when I add a top coat.. Oh well!! I am just happen to have both of these gems within my collection.

Now to quickly remove this and green up my nails. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are in the Grey Cup (Canadian version of the Super Bowl) final today.. Against Montreal.. Who beat us last year because of a devastating call.. Anyways! Redemption time! I am thinking green and sparkley.. (:

They definitely don't lookalike, you did a good thing buying that polish, haha! I'm exactly the same, even though I only need one thing, I always come back with more!

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!
