The Sister's Haul

Hey everyone!!

Sorry I haven't posted yet this week - I honestly do not know where the week went!

I have a photo to post of the polishes that my sister hauled recently. She was out and about (aka shopping) and had phoned me while I was at work to let me know she had bought some China Glaze pack and an OPI polish. Once she told me it was from the Christmas collection, I was immediately asking her if she saw a polish called 'Party Hearty' - she had. She didn't buy that one though, she had bought the trio pack with the two greens (Mistletoe Kisses & Jolly Holly) as well as a gold (Midnight Kiss). She was also pumped because they had a display for the Burlesque collection - she picked up Sparkle-icious - which I was really happy about as it was on my list to buy!

So, starting from the top: CG Midnight Kiss & Mistletoe Kisses, OPI Sparkle-icious, CG Party Hearty & Jolly Holly.

Oh, wait - what is that? You see Party Hearty when I said she didn't pick it up? Yeah. I asked her (maybe a little forcefully..) to go back in and please please please pick up Party Hearty! And she did (:

These are the nails I am currently sporting. Sorry, a pre-clean-up photo!! I actually filmed a bit of a tutorial for them. I e-mailed the genius mind behind SuPa Nails to make sure it is okay to use them/make a video about them. We'll see!

I am going to a wedding tomorrow, and I think they will complement my dress. It is just a dark purple.. So I might as well have fun with my nails. Oh, and well, my shoes. They are cheetah print flats. What can I say? I don't really go to weddings (:

I hope everyone had an amazing week! AND that you all will have a great weekend!!

  • Pretty - Thankies! I am feeling tres better now!!
  • shortwidenails - Yeah, I have no idea what it was. It was definitely flu-esque and terrible! Yet, I didn't really pass it on to anyone? Maybe it was specifically designed just for moi! I do use a tiny brush. I should probably snap a photo of it one of these days. It is basically my best friend for nails.
  • Sylvia - Thankies (:
  • Lacey - I wish I had her creative mind! Thankfully I can just copy her ideas and hope for the best!!
  • Zara - Thank you and thank you (:

Are you turning your sister into a nail polish addict???? muwhahaha!!! I'm still on the fence for party hearty. I'm wait until I see what you do with party hearty then i'll decide if I want to get it or not =) yes, I value your pictures/ matching colors very much and thus will wait until you show party hearty then I will decide if I will purchase it or not =)

I think you should post a picture of your dress. I won't lie, i'm having hard time matching your nails to leopard print shoes since you said your nails are like your dress? or is your dress a plain color?

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Day 27: The Hungry Asian Cookies (and) Cream

Hey everyone! I decided that for today and tomorrow (my last day - eeek!) that I would choose two polish that mean something to me. Today I am going to be sharing Cookies & Cream made by the awesome Kae aka The Hungry Asian. When I first started blogging, I immediately started following her. She is the reason behind many of my polish purchases.. heh. She started "frakening" polish awhile back.. and I had a HUGE lemming for Cookies & Cream - but, at the time, she wasn't shipping to Canada. Then, when she started to ship to Canada, I would always miss the restock times.. Then I just sort of.. forgot about it. Then, a little while back, while stumbling through all the amazing gems on etsy.. I saw a photo.. I didn't need to see the seller or the name.. I knew. It was ordered almost immediately. And it has sat.. until now. It still makes me heart smile. And now that it is mine? Constant smiling heart! I decided to not use undies on this. It is

Terrazzo Inspired Nails

Hey everyone! Will speed-race past a whole 'sorry I have been away' write-up and just go straight to the goods. I apologize in advance for my VERY dry cuticles (I cleaned up as much as I could in edit mode.. but, still bad) - I have been applying oil and lotions multiple times per day for.. weeks.. and.. no beneficial results, sadly. I went with terrazzo print inspired nails for this go-round. I started with a base coat, then OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI, then, using the brush for the each nail polish, I went in with: OPI Suzi Shops & Island Hops, OPI Sailing & Nail-ing, OPI Amazon...Amazoff, China Glaze Liquid Leather, China Glaze Sweet Hook, Essie Chinchilly, Color Club Je Ne Sasi Quoi, and Sally Hansen White On - then finally topped with Seche Vite. I am hoping to slowly creep back into regularly posting new content here - so, stay tuned!
