7 Things About Me:
  1. I am currently awaiting my acceptance letter for school. I think I finally found something I really want to do! I will share more later as I really do not want to jinx that acceptance letter!
  2. I read. A. Lot. I actually keep track of the books I read.. I am hoping to actually get to 50+ books this year.. I only made it to 42 last year! I blame surgery getting in the way.. I enjoy excuses!
  3. I have a fondness for exclamation marks.
  4. I despise onions. I will actually sit and pick them out of my meal.. Even if they are tiny. Yet, I will eat an onion ring or two.. And that is all onion basically. I am strange.
  5. I have lost a lot of weight within the last 5 months. I don't notice it a lot.. Then you try on something that is sizes and sizes smaller and I have to choke back a sob. It isn't so much the amount, it is just the changes in everything. I am strongly in like with myself.
  6. I might have one of the strangest travel ipod mixes around.. It goes from The Talking Heads to The Roots.. Extremely slow/sad tunes to uptempo techno'y songs.. And I enjoy every minute of it!!
  7. I personally believe I have one of the most functionally 'dysfunctional' families ever.. I would never trade a moment I have shared with them.. Even the terrible times, as they helped to shape our closeness. Also, the friends that I have kept for many years.. They are my family as well.

I am awarding the following blogs:

Here is where I am bad with awards.. I never know exactly who I should tag.. I mean, what if I tag 15 people and someone else is like 'she is such a magoon.. why wouldn't she toss me the award?' - I would feel horrible! And I really do not enjoy that feeling. SO! Here is my proposal.. If you haven't been awarded this award and you want it.. Take it from me as an award.. Because honestly, anyone that follows me (I follow back!) - then you're obviously rad and I enjoy your blog!!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
