Gem Nails + Two New Kids

Last week, my friend asked me if I could do her nails (we will call her by my favourite nickname for her: Yaz). She really liked the nails that Samantha was sporting in SATC2. Yaz loaned me the other, which I watched on the computer so I could screen cap the nails as I could not find them via the internet ANYWHERE! Then we did our take on them. Yaz has gel nails, and when she went to get them filled, they didn't have a nice dark blue (like Sam has) - so she decided on a lovely purple-magenta-y colour. We then used some nail gems and a couple polishes, along with a dotting tool, to achieve this: I got to see them again last night.. We did these on either Wednesday or Thursday (I for the life of my cannot remember.. The days all blend together lately..) and she hasn't lost a single gem! I have also acquired two new polish brands (to me!).. Meet my two newest children: We have Zoya Valarie and Sparitual Drop Dead Gorgeous . When I ordered these, I was obviously loving pu

Reptile

I have no idea why.. But lately I have been obsessed with snakeskin. No, I would never wear something snakeskin (real or fake.. I am pretty sure I wouldn't.. ah geez!) - but the idea of it seems rad.. I looked at some images online of snakeskin nails - most either used stickers, konad or mesh. I have 1/3, and none of my plates would give me the results I wanted. Now. I didn't have mesh.. but I did have lace. I mostly wanted something to lay under where I was going to sponge for texture.. And this is the result.. I even included a snapshot of my rarely photographed right hand.. Looks fairly scary.. The only reason that photo is included is to show that the base colour I used was more prevalent on that hand - and I like that. I used: OPIs Gargantuan Green Grape & Jade Is The New Black, CG Liquid Leather, Essie Sew Psyched & OPI Alpine Snow . I also used my trusty little brush for the black lines. Gargantuan Green Grape was my base (in case anyone was wondering..

Atlantis Zebra

Hello everyone!! Hope you all had a great week! The start to mine was a bit crazy.. For some reason I decided it would be rad to work two shifts on Sunday.. Basically 16/24 hours worked. It has led me on a strange path of sleep deprivation aka destruction of my life. At least my next pay cheque is going to UHmazing. I need to start saving for Edmonton anyways.. Now that the intro is out of the way, let's move on to what I am currently sporting on my nails.. There is a definite possibility that I took 43 photos and these were the two that I liked the best.. And they are still not so great. CG Atlantis was being a major pain for photographing. BUT! I am happy to report that my new camera is back in business! Thank you ebay for saving me $44 (plus taxes) for a new charger PLUS spare battery. These are the gems I used: Nail Life Gripper Base Coat, CG Atlantis, CG Liquid Leather, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, and my handy nail art brush.. That I still keep in the gross y
