Atlantis Zebra

Hello everyone!!

Hope you all had a great week! The start to mine was a bit crazy.. For some reason I decided it would be rad to work two shifts on Sunday.. Basically 16/24 hours worked. It has led me on a strange path of sleep deprivation aka destruction of my life. At least my next pay cheque is going to UHmazing. I need to start saving for Edmonton anyways..

Now that the intro is out of the way, let's move on to what I am currently sporting on my nails..

There is a definite possibility that I took 43 photos and these were the two that I liked the best.. And they are still not so great. CG Atlantis was being a major pain for photographing. BUT! I am happy to report that my new camera is back in business! Thank you ebay for saving me $44 (plus taxes) for a new charger PLUS spare battery.

These are the gems I used: Nail Life Gripper Base Coat, CG Atlantis, CG Liquid Leather, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, and my handy nail art brush.. That I still keep in the gross yellow polish as it keeps the brush in tip top shape.

I hope you'll all have a great weekend! The next couple of weeks are going to get a bit insane via work, but I am hoping to still sneak in at least one post a week! Also, I have been working on getting a swatch of each polish I use. Not only to keep cataloged on here for all of you, but also to ease my troubled mind.

Take care til next time!!

  • Swaafie - You really should! You would do such a great job with it!!
  • shortwidenails - I will show you a close up of the brush that I love! I did buy a set of brushes last month, but haven't really used them.. Anyways, the brush..

is like that.. nothing too serious.. Sometimes I have that happen to.. I still do designs even when I know they are going to get wrecked the next day. I cannot help myself!! Oh, and here is a photo of the SH Nail Art Pen - it is like working with a permanent marker, basically..

  • Lacquer Ware for Tips and Toes - Thank you! I thought so too (:
  • Alyssa - Hah, I thought about it after and wondered if I should just have put 'A' - as long as it is ok, your name will stay as is!! Bah! If I would have known you were looking for that gem - I would have told you!! I found it once at a Shoppers, and then saw that display at 'The Store'. I am just glad you have it now!!
  • amelia - Well, sometimes I am not so creative, but I am an okay copy-artist (: But thankies!!
  • JQ - That is an awesome comparison! I would have never thought of that!! Thank you!
  • Musicalhouses - Thank you for thinking they are neat! I was right next to displeased with my work, but, it seems that people really quite liked it (:

Nice. I love Atlantis and I hate that it tends to be shy when trying to get a very good photo of it.

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
