Edmonton Trip

I know I like to keep this a strictly nail polish blog (or, at least I think I do..) but today I am going to post up some of the make-up goodies I bought while in Edmonton. Do not fret, I did also buy some nail polish. I will start off with these gems. Now, my favourite colour is green.. And I really love green polish.. Also, I only own 1 sparitual polish.. I believe I paid $12ish for it to be shipped to me.. They had these lovelies boxed up together for $17.50.. Of course I was sold. The colours are Greenhouse (Glitter) & Earth Matters (Glitter). Another thing that sold me was that the insert is plantable. I love stuff like that! After I read that part aloud, my friend was like 'now you obviously have to get them!' - SOLD! I thought planting it and watching it grow would be amazing.. What would make it more amazing? Photo-documenting it and sharing the process with all of you. Luckily the dad has been on some strange plant growing obsession lately, so all the supplie

Hearts

So, I stumbled upon a new (to me!) blog the other day.. And fell in love with pretty much all over her designs. Many photos have been stuffed in to my inspirational folder.. It is http://rebeccalikesnails.blogspot.com/ and she is amazing. I kind of feel weird talking about someone like this whom I have never met/spoken with/anything.. But still! I need to put down her blog url for some more recognition.. And maybe some of you haven't come across her as well. AND if you have and never mentioned her to me.. Well, you're mean (: Anyways! I came across this adorable heart design she did. Of course I had to give it a whirl. Now, I have to apologize in advance. I have been slathering my hands in lotion every few hours, applying cuticle creams, etc, and I still picked at my skin really badly the other day. So.. Uh, they look gross. Sorry x 10!! I used: OPI Alpine Snow, OPI Shorts Story, CG Lemon Fizz, CG Peachy Keen, CG Electric Pineapple & CC Take Me To Your Chateau . I

Pink Plaid

Hello everyone! Today I bring you a look that I really like irl, but the photos make my lines seem more shake-y.. Oh well! I also notice via the photos that I am either going to have to thin out the remaining contents of my Seche Vite OR start a new bottle.. We shall see! I used: OPI Mod About You, OPI Shorts Story, CG Liquid Leather, CG White Out* & OPI Ogre The Top Blue . *For my pinky and ring finger, the white is actually the CG Crackle polish.. I thought it was so weird that my white polish globs on the paper were drying up incredibly fast.. Yeah.. Because they were crackle polish. Whoops!* Yesterday I went out shopping with the sis and a pal for a bit.. I know I shouldn't really be out shopping as our Edmonton trip is on Friday.. But oh well! I ended up buying a new button up sweater that is sort of something that I wouldn't wear aka it isn't black or all grey.. a wealth of goodies from the Body Shop, some MAC makeup (I used up a gift card and tossed in

Flaming V Dots

I am going to be honest with you all.. I had no idea what to call my post.. It could possibly make sense as you read through this, actually, it most likely will not. I am working with very little sleep after an amazing weekend!! This was my first FULL weekend off in quite awhile.. The odd time I take a Saturday or Sunday off, but I RARELY get both days off.. I have been working as the admin assistant lately, so not only do I get a cake walk through the day (compared to, say, serving or doing dishes) but I also get weekends to myself. Bliss. I really need to get going with school so everyday of my future career will feel like a holiday.. Anyways.. Totally off track! I honestly have not been very creative lately.. And all I do is copy other designs. Maybe I am just lazy. I have no idea.. The other night I grabbed Joe Butter to use.. It is a pale creamy yellow and I love it. I just had no idea what to do with it. I came back to my polish collection to grab something to add and spott

Happy (Belated) Birthday..

..to me!! I have to say, this has probably been one of my personal favourite birthdays.. I finally feel like I am getting to a better place in my life. I am not sure why (ok, there are a few factors as to why I think I feel this way).. But this isn't really a personal blog.. So I won't bore you all with details! For my birthday nails.. I went super simple.. Which was incredibly hard for me to do. Now I am in a bit of a bind. I need to do my nails this evening, but absolutely nothing is inspiring me. It is a really terrifying feeling. I have looked through every image in my possession, every magazine clipping I have clipped.. I even looked at wallpaper pattern swatches online. Nothing. Ugh. Anyways, here is what I was sporting.. And still currently am.. It is WnW Party of Five Glitters over top of CG Liquid Leather . I am actually shocked how many compliments one can receive from just applying a glitter polish over black. It is insanity! And also extremely easy
