Pink Plaid

Hello everyone!

Today I bring you a look that I really like irl, but the photos make my lines seem more shake-y.. Oh well! I also notice via the photos that I am either going to have to thin out the remaining contents of my Seche Vite OR start a new bottle.. We shall see!

I used: OPI Mod About You, OPI Shorts Story, CG Liquid Leather, CG White Out* & OPI Ogre The Top Blue.

*For my pinky and ring finger, the white is actually the CG Crackle polish.. I thought it was so weird that my white polish globs on the paper were drying up incredibly fast.. Yeah.. Because they were crackle polish. Whoops!*

Yesterday I went out shopping with the sis and a pal for a bit.. I know I shouldn't really be out shopping as our Edmonton trip is on Friday.. But oh well! I ended up buying a new button up sweater that is sort of something that I wouldn't wear aka it isn't black or all grey.. a wealth of goodies from the Body Shop, some MAC makeup (I used up a gift card and tossed in a few extra dollhairs), oh, and, nail polish, of course. My new kids..

Here is CG Watermelon Rind & CG White Cap. I have mostly seen White Cap used as a layering polish, and I am not really one for just laying a polish and calling it quits, but I figure it could be rad over other polish on my toes.. Plus I'll probably play it up on the finger nails at some point in time!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

  • FOREVER '92 - Thank you AND thank you! I think that is what drew it to me the most.. Zebra accent, how can one go wrong!?
  • Ash-Lilly - It always throws me right off.. I really dislike something, yet everyone else really likes/loves it. Makes me wonder about the manis that I personally love.. Maybe they look terrible? Who knows!
  • JQ - I think I might have to transform into a daily mani changer.. It has only happened the last 2 or 3 times, but I start to do something else, hate it, remove and start over.. And thank you!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
