I was tagged with the Kreativ Blogger award awhile back by the super amazing Minty over at Haute Lacquer.. I am finally going to accept the award and get some facts up here for all of you to peruse. (I really like reading people’s responses.. I think they are always great!) – be sure to check out her blog if you haven’t already! She posts up swatches and nail art!

Write 10 facts about yourself.
Pass the award to 10 bloggers and tell them about the award.

Ooh boy, 10 facts.. I will try to make these “facts” that I haven’t mentioned yet.

1. I have lost a lot of weight within the last year, in fact, it hasn’t even been a year and I am still in shock and awe when I step on to a scale. The number keeps getting smaller and that makes me feel.. Good? BUT! I am having some serious body dysmorphic issues. I am constantly asking for reassurance, and it isn’t that I fishing for compliments, but I still feel like I look the same.. There is the odd time that I will catch myself in a mirror in a store or my reflection in glass and I have to stop and stare. That sounds so egotistical, but I cannot believe it is really me. Hopefully I can get to a point where I know exactly how I look.. (does that sound crazy.. hmmm)

2. I have this “social anxiety” type thing.. I can be in crowded places, but I need to have someone I know really well around me at all times. If I am left alone in said crowded places, even if it is friends of my friend, I get uncomfortable until I get extremely upset and have to leave. I hate it. I cannot rid myself of it.

3. I am very protective of the people I choose to have in my life. My family and friends mean the world to me. It is gross how much I care about all of them!!

4. I really like gaming. Almost as much as I like nail polish.. Which is a WHOLE lot.

5. One of my sister’s best friend (and someone that I have come to also call ‘friend’) and I are obsessed with Sephora. On the Edmonton trip we all went on, her and I had to have our photo taken outside of the store, we sandwiched the Sephora logo with our shopping bags in hand. We know we are getting one here now. We plan to be at the grand opening.

6. I really like music. But I am sort of weird about it. I have tons of songs/albums/etc, but I make playlists every few weeks and specifically only listen to the songs on said list. Once I seem to be skipping more tracks than I listen to, I make a new list. I have songs I have purchased on iTunes from listening to a preview and still have not listened to the full song. I know, weird!

7. Minty wrote this as her fact 7, and I completely agree with it, so I am also going to use it. “I am ALL FOR gay rights. 100%, no question about it. I may not be bisexual or a lesbian but I truly believe in gay rights.” – I feel that in these times, it shouldn’t matter who you love and whom you want to marry. It cannot make “statistics” any worse.

8. This is probably going to sound really horrible, but I swear I have a limit of time spent listening in a day.. I sometimes literally tune out of conversations. I honestly do not mean to, but it happens. I also notice my listening skills deteriorate when certain people will not stop talking.. That might not be a coincidence.. Probably mostly work related.

9. I follow a fairly particular night routine. If I miss a step and I’m already nested in my bed, reading, I will actually make myself get up and do said missed step. The only times this routine can be void is when I am not at my own place. That makes it sound so strange. It is really just showering/washing up, applying lotions, brushing the chops, etc, but I do things in a specific way.

10. I read more teen ‘novels’ as an adult than I ever did as a teen. When I was 12, the dad had me reading university literature... Now that I’m older, I get to read the easy and fun books! Yes!

I was also given the Liebster award by Swaafie – Thanks a bunch!! She is amazing and has some incredibly unique nail art! Make sure you scope out her blog!!

Thank you both very, very much!!

You all know how terrible I am with tagging others. If anyone wants to have the Kreativ blogger award and post up 10 facts about themselves – then – I tag YOU! I want to read your facts!!

I will be back next time with some sort of nail art or something.. See you then!!

Aw, thank you for the shout out!

And I'm glad to see another blogger feels the same way about gay rights. (:

It's not really funny... but I'm the exact way when it comes to you're number 2! One time in a crowded mall in a big strange town I was with my sister and her boyfriend at the time (now husband) and they disappeared on me! I was freaking out and couldn't find them and my cell phone wouldn't work and I starting crying and hyperventilating. The sad part is that I was 21 at the time.... I can't help it! It makes me nervous and how do I know they hadn't been kidnapped or ran off getting into trouble?! At least I can kind of laugh at myself about it now.... Lol

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
