31 Day Challenge: Day 20 Water Marble

Sweet, sweet lord.. I am going to issue the world's most apologetic apology EVER.

I. Hate. Water. Marbling.

I suck at it. It does not matter how many tutorials I watch, I never seem to learn. I think I get worse at it every time I attempt it.

AND, I tried to do it with sparkly polishes, as I thought it would look super bad-assed, and no.. It doesn't.

I am already envisioning losing 10 followers tomorrow (please don't leave me - I swear I will do better!)

And.. I love you all? /endapology

View the photos, if you must/if you dare.

I used Essie Show Me The Ring (not shown in the photo) as a base, then I used Quirius The Arabian Nights, Diamond Cosmetics Blue Diamonds and Diamond Cosmetics Amethyst & Diamonds.

I honestly have nothing else to say about this disaster.

Please cue day 21.. PLEASE!

I just want to say thank you for posting this. It's so nice to see manicures that aren't perfect or that failed for some reason. There are so many pictures of pure perfection out there, so let posts like these remind us that we are *real* people and real people aren't perfect all the time. :)

I feel your pain, sis... I tried about 4 times this weekend, all from the scratch. I discovered that sparkle polishes end up in a clumpy mess. For me essie polishes worked the best, once you see that the polishes spread easily in water & won't lift when you touch them with a toothpick, it won't fail. Chin up, noone will leave your blog! <3

@Rainbowify Me - I do appreciate that. I said I would try to never hold stuff back from this blog.. And if what I end up doing sucks, well, then it sucks! It needs to seem real. Thank you!

@Trincess - Essie.. Noted! Thanks doll - and I didn't end up losing anyone.. Sanity kept intact!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
