Konad Plate m84

I was contacted a couple of weeks ago by Michelle at Nail Polish Canada - and she asked if I would be interested in reviewing a konad plate.. When I saw the photos of them, I knew immediately which plate I wanted.. m84 - the middle image was all I really saw: STARS! I love them.. And have a tremendously hard time actually paining them (oh, you'll see..)

It showed up to me late last week, and I have been thinking a lot about it ever since. I had a bunch of non dish washing shifts this week, so I knew it would be the time to bust out that beautiful plate and test it out.

Now, after my adventure with Half n Half nails, I wasn't quite ready to give them up.. So I went with half China Glaze Lemon Fizz and half China Glaze Sweet Hook. I liked them already.. Then I had to go in with my sub-par stamping 'skillz', but, believe it or not, this has netted me the most comments by people so far this year.. I also was impatient and have some dragged areas - but, the image itself is amazing. As you can see.. via my thumb.. I had an area of blank space, and instead of trying to just stamp on some stars, I freehanded.. With a dotting tool. Not so pretty, but no one really seemed to notice.

I love the idea of the stars.. I can see me adding this in to my next go with galaxy nails!

Also, when I was first glancing at the plate when it arrived, my mom pops around my shoulder and says 'can I get you to put those bows on my fingers?' - I was like 'what bows?!' - yeah! Adorable bow on the plate as well. Geez! See? I was so enthralled with the stars that I didn't even notice the other images. The bow, some really gorgeous flowers and some hot lips. Not going to lie, I lucked out!

I think it would be a really great plate to own, especially with spring right around the corner - the flower images scream spring manis with pastel colours - just saying!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
