12 Days of The Hunger Games: Day 8

Day 8..

Now, I honestly had no idea what I was going to do here.. I slapped on some China Glaze Dress Me Up and I had grabbed a bunch of colours and I was going to floral it all up.. But no, that wasn't really what I wanted. So I put on another quick coat of Dress Me Up and dotted on some OPI Stranger Tides.. But dots wasn't what I wanted either.. So I used my dotting tool (from BornPretty) and started to swirl the dots.

The results: I actually really like this. It is marble-esque without me failing horribly at water marbling! Yes! It also has a kind of smokey look.. Ok, I really, really like this.

See you all for Day 7!!

Grungey Leopard Nails

Hey everyone!

Today I have some grungey leopard print nails for you.. I had a different direction I had wanted to go in last night, but then ended up with this. Not disappointed.

I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base CoatButter London High TeaOrly Liquid VinylSally Hansen Terra-CoppaAcetoneBrushDotting ToolSeche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I did two coats of the base colour (High Tea), then I was adding "splatter" prints with black (Liquid Vinyl) but felt they were too perfect.. so.. I decided to douse them with some acetone.. then.. I just decided to "smoke" them out.. which made the nails look grungey. But. This is me. I couldn't stop there. I decided to make dots (Terra-Coppa) throughout the smokey black, then make it into leopard print. Love.

That is all for today - see you all again soon!

Cobalt Blue + Copper Stars

Hey everyone!

Just going to toss up a few posts in the next few days, as I have some backlogged posts..

This was a look using some cobalt blue polish - a friend had sent me a photo of some nails using a similar shade, and I needed to have that colour on asap.. this was the result.

Black Marble (sort of).

Hey everyone!

-Insert gratuitous reasoning(s) of why I have been away-

Ok, now that that is out of the way, hi!

I just realized I still have a couple post photos stocked up. Sigh. I haven't even uploaded all that is currently living on my camera. The fear is real.

That is for another day. Mayhaps this weekend.

Until then.

I think I said it at some point on my blog, but I feel like 2017 is going to be the year that I constantly do faux marble nails. Note: not watermarbling. I have given in to that failed activity far too many times.

No, I mean the classy kind of marble. You know.

This time, I did it in reverse, because, why not?

 It counts, right?

Ugh. I love it.
