Lightning Nails

I had repinned this photo of lightning nails a little while back, and I went to the watermarked source on tumblr and just found a wealth of nail art ideas - so yay!

I just took the idea and sort of went my own way.. I really like them as I look at them right here, right now, in front of me - but for some reason the photo does not give me the same 'oooh, must ogle!' effect. Oh well!


I am also sorry about the bit of wear on the thumb - it has been a crazy weekend and I didn't take photos until this morning. Whoops!

I used: a base of Orly Liquid Vinyl, then I sponged on a mix of Orly White Out, OPI A Grape Fit!, and OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips (still hilarious) - then I used Orly White Out again for the bolts.

I hope everyone has had a tremendous weekend! I know that I did - and now I'm extremely tired out - bring on the work week! (Not really though.. can we just fast forward to next weekend please?)

Wow, what a striking look! (no pun intended, haha) Love the gradient look and you did a great job at making the lightning look realistic!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! Countdown to Halloween 2017: Gross Nails

Hey everyone! Not sure what else to call these.. other than gross.. these are the nails I imagine some sadistic swamp-dwelling mother of mutants to have.. yeah, that. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat OPI Coca-Cola Red China Glaze Cranberry Splash KL Polish Snickerdoodle OPI Suzi - The First Lady of Nails OPI My Vampire Is Buff Orly Liquid Vinyl Sponge Dotting Tool Fake Nails These were rather fun to make.. but dangerous!
