Day 24: ToughAsNailsLacquer The Baconian Method

Hey everyone!

I don't think I have ever officially said it, but I will not just to clarify: I freaking love indie nail polish! I was trying to explain it to the ma the other day.. I don't think she really understood it - but for those of you that don't know.. It is awesome gals (and guys!) that make polish on their own.. and they are always amazing combos - whether it be colours with glitters, just glitters, just colours, shimmers, a mix of everything, whatever.. AND the names always make my heart smile! In fact, there are a few that I have bought solely because of their name. Seriously.

I was really excited when I saw a post about 'The Breakfast Combo' polish.. but, at the time, she wasn't delivering to Canada. I had told her in our conversation that if she ever changed her mind and would ship to Canada - she should contact me. I expected to never hear from her ever again. A few weeks later, I received a message from that the polish was now being shipped to Canada. I immediately put in an order.. and these have been just waiting to be used.. I have used 2/3 now - my ma voted for me to use "the bacon one" first. Uhh, yeah!!

I am majorly in love with it. Though I should have photographed it BEFORE work - please forgive me!!

"The Baconian Method is a brown glitter topcoat. It includes brown, orange, red, black, and white glitters in hex and bar shapes. The Baconian Method can be found in the lab, tirelessly experimenting to develop the next great waffle topping."

I put two layers of it over Orly Liquid Vinyl.

I think I almost like the addition of the little white glitter the most.. It helps to add more depth.. I don't know - the whole thing just makes me smile!! So great!

I ordered mine HERE.

Remember to check out Silver's blog!!! See you all tomorrow!!

Have an awesome day everyone!

My Top 10 of 2016

Hey everyone!

I know the whole 'Top 9' of instagram is a thing (I did partake...) but, I also wanted to do my personal top choices of the year. I think one of them matches the IG choices.. kind of neat!

In previous years, I think I selected top 'whatever number is higher than the current year' - but that would be 17, and I could barely make it to 10.. so.. 10 it is!

Let's take a look at all of them together..

We shall start at the top, and work out way through with links..

Black Marble (sort of).

Hey everyone!

-Insert gratuitous reasoning(s) of why I have been away-

Ok, now that that is out of the way, hi!

I just realized I still have a couple post photos stocked up. Sigh. I haven't even uploaded all that is currently living on my camera. The fear is real.

That is for another day. Mayhaps this weekend.

Until then.

I think I said it at some point on my blog, but I feel like 2017 is going to be the year that I constantly do faux marble nails. Note: not watermarbling. I have given in to that failed activity far too many times.

No, I mean the classy kind of marble. You know.

This time, I did it in reverse, because, why not?

 It counts, right?

Ugh. I love it.

All right, that is all for today. See you all again soon (I promise).

L'Oreal Vert Absynthe & Gris Decadent

Hey everyone!

Yesterday, I bought 5 of the L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche nail polish.. and.. I needed to test them out.

I used '666 Vert Absynthe' as my base. Guys. Gals? Whatever. It is amazing! The formula is exquisite.. and I could almost get away with one coat - but I, of course, did two.

Then I decided on a 'grunge' look. I REALLY wanted to use gold, but because I wanted to use gold so badly, I went with silver. I think it was a good choice.
