Day 7: OPI Don't Touch My Tutu! & Rainbow Connection

Hey there everyone!!

Yet another two-fer post.. And this one I am extremely excited about as I think I found a method that I really quite like!!

I finally got to try my hand at the whole 'jelly sandwich' effect.. and, I think it is gorgeous and fun.

I started off with 3 thin coats of Don't Touch My Tutu! followed by a layer of Rainbow Connection, then another coat of DTMT. I liked it, and probably should have stopped there... But, me being me, of course I couldn't! I then layered the whole thing with another coat of RC and a topper of DTMT. I like the extra activity!

When I was done, this really reminded me of my bff - so I had sent her a message telling her such and I even bbm'ed a quick snapshot over. She said it reminded her of birthday cake - which I think is a pretty accurate description!

I have some nubar jelly polish to play with as well - expect another 1-2 jelly sandwich posts from me within the next few days.

7 days out of the 28 already! Time flies!!

Here is a quick overview of what went down with my nails this week.. My favourites.. were the ikat nails - what were yours??
I made this collage at http://www.picture2life.com/

Have a great day everyone - and remember to go check out Silver's blog to see what she posted up for day 7!!

This is so pretty!!! I adore jelly sandwiches especially with the multi coloured glitter like this! I have a NYX dupe of that glitter and I love sandwiching it with this pale pink I have from Essence too! :)

Neutral Dots

Hey everyone!

Long time, no blog. I have just been soso bad about getting photos of my nails.. going to try to end the year on a high note. Fingers crossed!

I apologize for how drrrry my hands/cuticles look in these photos. You know how you know that your hands are dry, but you don't think they are that bad, and maybe they aren't, but a photo makes it look 50x worse? That.

I was able to snap up this set of 4 Butter London gem polishes awhile back.. very neutral, but it had a particular shade I had been eyeing.. but that is not what I have used here, naturally.

I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
Butter London Ta-ta!
Sally Hansen White On!
Dotting Tool
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

That is all for today. I have mostly been wearing a wealth of polka dotted nail art.. there is something I want to re-visit from a couple of years back - will probably do that this weekend, and then keep going from there. Halloween is on the horizon.. so.. that will be a thing too. Take care…

Grungey Leopard Nails

Hey everyone!

Today I have some grungey leopard print nails for you.. I had a different direction I had wanted to go in last night, but then ended up with this. Not disappointed.

I did two coats of the base colour (High Tea), then I was adding "splatter" prints with black (Liquid Vinyl) but felt they were too perfect.. so.. I decided to douse them with some acetone.. then.. I just decided to "smoke" them out.. which made the nails look grungey. But. This is me. I couldn't stop there. I decided to make dots (Terra-Coppa) throughout the smokey black, then make it into leopard print. Love.

That is all for today - see you all again soon!

Black Marble (sort of).

Hey everyone!

-Insert gratuitous reasoning(s) of why I have been away-

Ok, now that that is out of the way, hi!

I just realized I still have a couple post photos stocked up. Sigh. I haven't even uploaded all that is currently living on my camera. The fear is real.

That is for another day. Mayhaps this weekend.

Until then.

I think I said it at some point on my blog, but I feel like 2017 is going to be the year that I constantly do faux marble nails. Note: not watermarbling. I have given in to that failed activity far too many times.

No, I mean the classy kind of marble. You know.

This time, I did it in reverse, because, why not?

 It counts, right?

Ugh. I love it.

All right, that is all for today. See you all again soon (I promise).
