Bahama Mama & The God of Destiny

Hello everyone!

Today I bring you Essie Bahama Mama with some accents of Rainbow Honey The God of Destiny..

Many of my favourite youtubers have been mentioning Essie Bahama Mama.. So when I stumbled across it at the store, I immediately purchased it. I love Essie polish.. but I think this is the first one (formulation wise) that I haven't been in love with. It is extremely runny.. I have never had that with an Essie polish before. Maybe it will be better.. who knows.. AND! For such a "dark" colour, it took three coats before it was even deciding to be opaque. In my mind, it is very similar to OPI Miami Beet.. I will have to compare.. I would much rather use Miami Beet if I want this particular shade on my mitts again. Dangit!

THEN! I got my new set of Rainbow Honey's Chrono Cross Collection in the other week.. I was going to swatch them all and do a big review post, but I figure I will just use them and show you how I am actually wearing them, and then maybe do a big ol' post at the end showing them all off. Yeah, that sounds good!

One thing I will say about Bahama Mama.. It is really, really glossy! Even without topcoat.. I guess it does have some redeeming qualities. 3 coats of Essie Bahama Mama (4 on some of my fingers..), then 3 coats of Rainbow Honey The God of Destiny on my middle and ring fingers.

Super simple, but a nice way to showcase some glitter. I like the combo!

See you all again very soon!!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
