These Nails Are Bananas - Take: Blue!

I saw that someone pinned my Banana Nails the other day. I loved seeing them again. I had forgotten about them.

Queue to Saturday afternoon. I was searching around the internet for some yellow nail inspiration.. I just really wanted yellow nails.. and I wasn't set on any particular idea. Then I stumbled across this POST and I was like 'oommmgggggg Banana nails with a BLUE background.. YEX!!!' So I did them, immediately.

I used OPI No Room For The Blues as a base, then I went on to use two yellows for the bananas: Butter London Cheeky Chops & Joe Fresh Butter, then I used some Orly Liquid Vinyl for the black details. I love these sosososososo much. Who wouldn't be jazzed about life to have bananas on their fingers?!

See you all later!!

Looking around your blog here for options to follow other than on the Google dashboard and don't see any. Wishing I had your email addy but not listed here either so posting here - you can take this down later...would love to see you add the Blogger widget for email subscriptions. I never get time to go to my dashboard and wade through - ditto on Bloglovin etc. I know a lot of folks who have no idea how to use any RSS kind of feed and would not 'get' dashboards either but they all follow their email...be great to add that as an option. I only stumbled on you when I happened to look at someone's blog roll and timing was right - yours appeared. Not sure how I will find my way back to check to see if you added the email widget..will try to book mark this and check back. Oh - I don't get through FB either - my account is jammed with indi musicians I work with and follow and I miss about 98% of that in the news feed too. But as said, I can work away at email all day long off/on and always get through it eventually. Good luck with the rest of your schooling - good field to go into. I work as a clinical laboratory scientist in microbiology...health care fields have jobs!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Day 27: The Hungry Asian Cookies (and) Cream

Hey everyone! I decided that for today and tomorrow (my last day - eeek!) that I would choose two polish that mean something to me. Today I am going to be sharing Cookies & Cream made by the awesome Kae aka The Hungry Asian. When I first started blogging, I immediately started following her. She is the reason behind many of my polish purchases.. heh. She started "frakening" polish awhile back.. and I had a HUGE lemming for Cookies & Cream - but, at the time, she wasn't shipping to Canada. Then, when she started to ship to Canada, I would always miss the restock times.. Then I just sort of.. forgot about it. Then, a little while back, while stumbling through all the amazing gems on etsy.. I saw a photo.. I didn't need to see the seller or the name.. I knew. It was ordered almost immediately. And it has sat.. until now. It still makes me heart smile. And now that it is mine? Constant smiling heart! I decided to not use undies on this. It is

Terrazzo Inspired Nails

Hey everyone! Will speed-race past a whole 'sorry I have been away' write-up and just go straight to the goods. I apologize in advance for my VERY dry cuticles (I cleaned up as much as I could in edit mode.. but, still bad) - I have been applying oil and lotions multiple times per day for.. weeks.. and.. no beneficial results, sadly. I went with terrazzo print inspired nails for this go-round. I started with a base coat, then OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI, then, using the brush for the each nail polish, I went in with: OPI Suzi Shops & Island Hops, OPI Sailing & Nail-ing, OPI Amazon...Amazoff, China Glaze Liquid Leather, China Glaze Sweet Hook, Essie Chinchilly, Color Club Je Ne Sasi Quoi, and Sally Hansen White On - then finally topped with Seche Vite. I am hoping to slowly creep back into regularly posting new content here - so, stay tuned!
