Casino Royale + My Own Gold Leaf Top Coat

Hey everyone!

I am bringing you my first official "new" post of 2013! It still seems very strange to actually write 2013.. I kind of like it though.. anyways!

Just a really quick post with no nail art activity.. Just sharing two cool polish. One of which I maaaaade!

I started off with OPI Casino Royale, which, I am not sure if my top coat of the gold kind of altered the shade a bit.. it seems more red-toned in these photos, but it is a beautiful polish no matter what! I think this is what I wanted Essie Bahama Mama to be..

Then I decided to add my own gold leaf top coat. I just tweeze-d (super scientific method) a part pieces of gold leaf and added them to a suspension base.. but still! I made this! And I think it is lovely! And it wasn't very fun to make!

I am really excited about the nail that I am planning to do tonight. I've had this photo saved for awhile now and I feel like today is the day to do them. I just have to clean my make-up brushes first.. then it is "me" time!

Have a great night everyone, see you again soon!!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
