Colourful Plaid featuring Revlon Pop Art

Hello everyone!

Today I bring you some colourful plaid nails.. inspired by.. myself!!

Ok, well, actually, my BFF first inspired it by talking about plaid nails a few weeks back.. Then I picked up Revlon Pop Art and thought 'this could look great for plaid nails!' and I then I thought of the plaid nails I did 'back in the day'... and then this was born... reborn?

Products Used
Nail Life Gripper (base coat)
Revlon Pop Art (blue)
Zoya Pippa (yellow)
Revlon Pop Art (pink)
Orly Liquid Vinyl (black)
Orly White Out
Cult Nails Wicked Fast (top coat)

I really love these. Again, I feel the lines look a little wonky in these photos, though I can't not smile while looking at them.

My only minor complaint.. the blue from Pop Art completely stained my nails! Like, really badly. I know that some times when I read that on a blog, I go 'well, I have that particular polish, and it has never stained my nails!', this could very well be one of those times.. which is why I said 'stained my nails', maybe it won't stain for everyone. In fact, I was so upset by the staining, that I cut all my nails off. I feel a bit better about it all now.. Just a teensy, tiny complaint.

Also.. I have it on really good authority that if you come back tomorrow.. there will be a photo tutorial on how I did these.. I know people.

Have an awesome day everyone - see you soon!!

P.S - I have been having some trouble with commenting for people.. I will explain my issue and then one of you gems might be able to answer it for me.. When first come on to blogger, everything is good, I'm signed in, I go through my blog roll, reading posts.. and then, when I go to post a comment, I am logged out, and despite logging back in (numerous times) I cannot leave a comment. I feel awful because when some one does something great, I want to leave a comment expressing my like for what they have done. And now I can't. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there some way I can correct this issue? Help?

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
