My Top 13 Manis of 2012

Hey everyone!

Last year I posted my top 12 manis of 2011, so, I figured this year I get to pick my top 13 of 2012. Now, these are what I consider my own personal top looks. If you disagree, you should post up one of my posts from the last year in the comments section. Without further ado & in no particular order..

Yes, it is basically just a special top coat, but it is seriously magical! I absolutely love it.. Read all about it HERE

I love this.. and the title I gave the post.. Oh The Weather Outside Is Weather..

Again, it may just be a top coat kind of polish, but it is a-may-za-zing! Check out the post HERE

If I had to actually choose one mani that was my absolute favourite of the year.. This would be it. Check out the full post HERE

Pinterest is one of my favourite places to find nail art (inspiration and straight up copies) - which is where the idea for this gem came from. Check out the post HERE

This was an adorable mani inspired from another blogger.. Check out the post HERE

My first, and so far only go, with an ikat print. Love it! See the full post HERE

I just love this whole combo. Must remember to do it again. Maybe they will be my birthday nails for this year.. Scope the full post HERE

I feel like I could have done this a whole lot better.. Might be something to revisit in the future. I still love the whole idea though.. Check the post HERE

I feel like it was year of the super fun top coats.. Sticks 'n Stones had to make the cut somewhere! Check out the full post HERE

Really love your picks, my favorites are the snow flakes and the black and white divided nails with stripes!

Neutral Dots

Hey everyone!

Long time, no blog. I have just been soso bad about getting photos of my nails.. going to try to end the year on a high note. Fingers crossed!

I apologize for how drrrry my hands/cuticles look in these photos. You know how you know that your hands are dry, but you don't think they are that bad, and maybe they aren't, but a photo makes it look 50x worse? That.

I was able to snap up this set of 4 Butter London gem polishes awhile back.. very neutral, but it had a particular shade I had been eyeing.. but that is not what I have used here, naturally.

I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
Butter London Ta-ta!
Sally Hansen White On!
Dotting Tool
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

That is all for today. I have mostly been wearing a wealth of polka dotted nail art.. there is something I want to re-visit from a couple of years back - will probably do that this weekend, and then keep going from there. Halloween is on the horizon.. so.. that will be a thing too. Take care…

Grungey Leopard Nails

Hey everyone!

Today I have some grungey leopard print nails for you.. I had a different direction I had wanted to go in last night, but then ended up with this. Not disappointed.

I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base CoatButter London High TeaOrly Liquid VinylSally Hansen Terra-CoppaAcetoneBrushDotting ToolSeche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I did two coats of the base colour (High Tea), then I was adding "splatter" prints with black (Liquid Vinyl) but felt they were too perfect.. so.. I decided to douse them with some acetone.. then.. I just decided to "smoke" them out.. which made the nails look grungey. But. This is me. I couldn't stop there. I decided to make dots (Terra-Coppa) throughout the smokey black, then make it into leopard print. Love.

That is all for today - see you all again soon!

Black Marble (sort of).

Hey everyone!

-Insert gratuitous reasoning(s) of why I have been away-

Ok, now that that is out of the way, hi!

I just realized I still have a couple post photos stocked up. Sigh. I haven't even uploaded all that is currently living on my camera. The fear is real.

That is for another day. Mayhaps this weekend.

Until then.

I think I said it at some point on my blog, but I feel like 2017 is going to be the year that I constantly do faux marble nails. Note: not watermarbling. I have given in to that failed activity far too many times.

No, I mean the classy kind of marble. You know.

This time, I did it in reverse, because, why not?

 It counts, right?

Ugh. I love it.

All right, that is all for today. See you all again soon (I promise).
