Creme De Menthe

Hello everyone!

Before I do a little intro on what I will be sharing with you today, I first want to kind of ask a question of you all.. I posted on the blogger help forum, and have yet to receive any type of response.. Anyways.. I feel like a total jerk.. I keep going on to other people's blogs with the full intent of leaving a comment.. but after I have typed out my comment.. and hit enter.. nothing. It is like I'm signed out. I check now when I load up a blog. The top right corner stays to sign in or register.. yet I am "signed in", but I cannot comment or anything. It is very frustrating. I don't know if I picked up some sort of, well, some sort of something.. but if I come across something in my blog roll, and want to leave a comment, I want to LEAVE A COMMENT, and I cannot. I use firefox as my browser and refuse to use anything else. Help? Has anyone had a similar thing happen? Any fixes? I'm desperate! Who has two thumbs and just fixed their problem? THIS GUY!

Ok. On to the good stuff.

When I spoke about Silly Lily Polish J-E-L-L-O the other day, I did mention that I bought another polish from her.. and I am going to share it with you all right meow. I was scrolling through her items, and saw a few that could have been my second polish, then I laid eyes on this gem and it was all over. It is Silly Lily Polish Creme De Menthe and I personally love it.

Products Used
Nail Life Gripper (base coat)
Silly Lily Polish Creme De Menthe
Cult Nails Wicked Fast (top coat)

A pale green jelly base, green, green, and green glitter, and matte white glitters? Um, I feel like this was designed for me!

My application might not have been the best - I honestly need to thin it just a touch (mental note: do that asap or you'll forget!) but I honestly just love this polish. I did get a few compliments on it - and some one thought I did all the little white dots by hand. Apparently people think I have some serious talent!!

Now - I want to just talk a bit more about these bottles.. I really like them! I like the shape of them, I like how they were packaged, I just liked them a lot.

First, when I took them out of the box, they looked something like this (obviously much nicer.. I ripped them out of the little baggies before I could take photos.. I'm impatient!) - I already liked how they were wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed in a little bag.. it seems like some thought was put in to rather than 'whelp, bubbled wrapped - slam dunk in to the box!' (I'm not complaining about that either - the main thing is bubble wrap.. I just like the extra thought here).

Next, I like the bottle shape. They aren't round, or square, they are octagons! I love it! I don't have any bottles that are in an octagonal shape - and I really quite enjoy it! I know.. what a loser getting all worked up about a bottle shape, but it is just delightful!

I'm a stickler for little details.. might I mention this one.. a little sticker on the top of the cap? I pretty much geeked out at this point. There are indie companies with  beautiful bottles, labels, etc, but this actually warmed my heart.

Oh, and then, when you have a child weeping (which he does pretty much any time I'm not focusing all of my attention on him) when you're doing "work", you bring them over, and they photo bomb every shot until you give them your hand and allow them to scope out the camera. Bennie, why must you be oh so cute?

I was not sent these polish for a review, I bought them on my own accord, I just wanted to share with you all how pleased I was with these polish. Even the shipping to Canada seemed quite quick - which is always a plus in my books! Check out the shop HERE - there are some absolute gems over there.

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
