Easter Dotticure

Hello everyone!! Just a super quick Easter-y post for today.. because.. well, why not, right?! This is a style of mani that I am sure you have all seen basically everywhere right meow - I figured I might as well hop aboard the trend-train and do it. I mean, dots and me go together like.. peanut butter and jam? You get what I mean, I hope. I should probably just share my photos and go bury my head in the sand. Or ice? Products Used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Bsae Coat China Glaze Lemon Fizz China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint China Glaze Sweet Hook Dotting Tool Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I grabbed three pastel colours - all from the lovely China Glaze family.. and just went from there. I wanted to do it a little bit differently and use various sizes, but I decided to do my nails 30 minutes before I had to leave the house.. because I'm smart like that. I think they still worked out ok though. That is it for today.. Happy Easter if you're inclined to say that/re

Red & Cheetah

Hey everyone! Today I bring a very simple mani, but one that I am absolutely in love with. Also, one of the nail polish that I used has pretty much stepped in as my new favourite. Yeah, this is serious business. I used THIS POST as my inspiration..   Products Used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat piCture pOlish O'Hara China Glaze Dress Me Up Essie Turquoise & Caicos China Glaze Liquid Leather Dotting Tool Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I had been wanting to use O'Hara for quite some time.. but couldn't decide if I wanted to just wear it as is, or have some activity to it.. Then I stumbled across my inspiration photo and knew it was a perfect combo. Now. I am in love with O'Hara, it is a perfect polish. It was basically opaque in one coat (I did two anyways.. you know me..), the colour is sensational, and the shimmer! Gah. So good! I actually exclaimed that 'I am in love!' after painting my second nail with it. Honestly, I co

Laid Back 31 DC - Day 13 - Cheer Yourself Up Mani

Hello everyone! I knew exactly what mani I'd turn to for this day of the challenge.. It is something I have done BEFORE and whenever I stumble across the photo on pinterest or where ever, it makes me smile. Basically it was a no brainer.. Products Used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat China Glaze Liquid Leather butter London Cheeky Chops OPI Metallic 4 Life China Glaze White On White Dotting Tool Gold Studs Little Brush Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I think I love this mani so much because it has pretty much every element that I like. Studs. Glitter. Dots. Black and white, and yellow.. I mean, honestly, how can this not be enjoyed? That, and my OPI Metallic 4 Life was a gift polish from my sister - so it means more than most of my nail polish.. Just the fact that she remembered me saying I wanted that particular polish our of hundreds - it makes my heart smile!! What mani cheers you up when you're having an off day?? See you all again very soon!!

Fun Rainbow Nails Instead of Tape Mani Nails

Fair compromise, right? Hey everyone! Today I am supposed to post up my tape mani part of the challenge.. Well.. I just went to edit photos.. and.. they are beyond photo editing. It is seriously awful. I don't remember them being so terrible at the time of taking photos, but just trust me, bad! BUT! I based the mani I am currently sporting off of a photo on pinterest, and they are much more exciting. I figure I will share those with you all instead, and it will make up for the mess that would have been my tape mani. Fair trade! Products Used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat China Glaze White On White Essie Lollipop OPI A Roll In The Hague China Glaze Golden Opportunity Essie Mojito Madness OPI No Room For The Blues OPI Ogre The Top Blue Dotting Tool Little Brush Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I got this amazingly rad idea HERE - I particularly like the small and uniformity of her dots.. actually, I just like the whole thing, hence why I had to recreate it

Laid Back 31 DC - Day 11 - Splatter

Hello everyone!! Today is the day for splatter nails.. and I am not even going to lie, I am pretty jazzed about the whole thing! I can't even think of any lame story to start this whole post.. I just want to share the photos. Shall I? Products Used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat OPI Can't Find My Czechbook Orly White Out China Glaze First Mate Orly Glitz Coffee Stick Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I started with a base of OPI Can't Find My Czechbook - which I should have snapped a swatch photo of, but please, take my word on it, it is lovely! Then, using a coffee stir-stick, I started off with some white polish (Orly White Out), followed with a dark blue/navy (China Glaze First Mate), and finished with some gold (Orly Glitz). Despite some random non-splattery areas (just mass blobs of polish) - I did quite like the coffee stir-stick method more so than using a straw.. I also really, really, really like this combination of colours. I have receive

Laid Back 31 DC - Day 10 - Geometric

Hello everyone! Today is the day for geometric nails.. and I immediately remembered THIS POST from 'Copy That, Copy Cat' and knew that it was necessary to recreate her mani.   Products Used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Color Club Twiggie China Glaze Liquid Leather China Glaze Rich & Famous Orly White Out Old Nail Art/Pen Brush Seche Vite Top Coat I know.. I didn't quite connect all the point correctly, but, I can live with that.. for a day or so before I change my nails anyways.. I just love the colour combination and the triangle activity.. very fun! That is all for now - see you all again very soon!!

Laid Back 31 DC - Day 9 - Saran Wrap

Hello everyone! Yessss! Saran Wrap nails! I freaking love this method - probably due to the fact that I cannot master water marbling to save my life - while this is no where near as rad looking as water marbling, I feel like it is marbly-effect-gone-grunge. Yup. I really love blue and yellow combos.. so I decided to use Butter London Cheeky Chops & Nails Inc. Baker Street. Perfection. That is all for today! See you all again soooon!!

Laid Back 31 DC - Day 8 - Duochrome, Flakie or Holo

Sorry for the suuuuper late arrival of this post. I was supposed to have it posted up on February 26th. I don't have a legitimate excuse either. I mean, I could say 'I'm busy', but everyone is busy. I could tell you all I'm in to procrastination, but so are many others. See? No legitimate excuse. But. If I were to use one (any?) I would have said I was busy, still getting over being sick, and that I'm pro-procrastination. Moving on.. I decided to finally give some love to my Nfu Oh gems. I bought them quite awhile ago.. I had two flakie polish to choose from.. and I went with Nfu Oh 51. I do not know what I didn't use this for so long. It is glorious! Look that beauty! Seriously. I believe I could have gotten away with 2 coats, but I went 3 for more.. even-ness. I have Nfu Oh 60 to test out at some point as well.. awe yeah! That is all for now - see you again very soon aka tomorrow.
