My Mini Pirate Polish Collection

Hello everyone!

A bit of a different "post" today.. But it will still have some rad polish included, so it works!

Last weekend, I was at a salon/boutique here in Saskatoon called Alchemy.. While looking at all the awesome items within the shop, I came across some indie polish called 'Pirate Polish', so of course I was studying the few bottles in stock and ogling the nail wheels.. One of the gals came over and explained that the creator of the polish was local.. like.. here.. in the city. Seriously!? I nabbed a bottle of 'Radioactive' and a card, went home, and went to the etsy shop immediately.

While I was paying for my bottle of 'Radioactive', the gal told me that her favourite polish was a gem called 'Borsch'.. I was sort of sad when I didn't see it up on etsy, so I took to e-mailed Tara (aka the creator of Pirate Polish) to do some inquiring.. a few e-mails later, and I was going to be hooked up with four beautiful bottles of polish.

Look at these beauties! I am in some serious like with all of them.

Before I acquired the other gems, I used Radioactive in a slight gradient mani with Floam.. The pictures do not do the super brightness of the polish any justice, but let me tell you: it is in your face bright and lovely!

And I'm currently sporting 'Leeloo', because, well, how could I not?

I got to meet Tara briefly yesterday when I picked up the polish.. and I honestly cannot wait to do more business with her. I have used two out of my five Pirate Polish now, and I am quite pleased with them. I am super excited to try the other three now!!

Have you picked up some Pirate Polish yet?? If so, which do you own? I'd like to know so that I can decide on my next purchases!!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
