Notice of hiatus...

Hey everyone.

Today I have a quick post with a notice of hiatus.. I have been toying with this idea for the last month, maybe even two months. My heart just isn't in to "nail art" lately. I know, I could just be snapping photos of the single polish manis I have been sporting, or even the layering with glitter, but I haven't even been bothering to take pictures.

I may be back in full swing in a week, it could be more like a month (gasp.. could it be longer?).. I don't really know what is going on with me lately, but I'm just not "present" right now.

I think it is mostly because I'm miserable at my job - but I'm working on rectifying that situation, so maybe once I have fixed that part of my life, things will fall back in to place.

I hope to see you all when I come back!!

Take care until then.

From time to time I think most of us go on a break. I look at my blog as a nail journal for myself when I have the time I blog when I don't I don't :)
Hope you can find inspirations to come back soon. I see blogging as a happy detour from an uninspired day job :)

@Rainbowify Me: Thank you. I was lost for a moment. I knew it wasn't anything to do with my love for nail polish/nail art though.. Win!

@Tempera: That is a really great way to look at it - I must remember this!!

@Halifax: Yes, I do agree with that. A lovely distraction from my seriously mundane life.

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
