Haul For The Week Of July 21-28 - Pic Heavy

Hey everyone..

I know last week, when I first mentioned the whole Swatch Sunday/Haul posts, I said to not expect them every week.. But.. um.. Well, this week is going to be a write-off. I bought a wealth of polish (ok, some of them were purchased the previous week, but just arrived to me.. you know what I mean!)

Where to start.. We will start with Wednesdays goodies. My friend Jazz had contacted Tara of Pirate Polish and was like 'I'm going to be picking up two polish from her after work today...' Of course I had to get in on the action! I knew I had a wealth coming to me.. but these two polish that Jazz was going to pick up, I needed to have them. I quickly sent a text off to Tara to let her know to have another pair ready for me. I am forever grateful for my lack of will power.

Mother. Of. God. Seriously! LOOK AT THESE GEMS! I may or may not have it on direct authority that a post featuring Sea Monster will be up on Monday. Just saying.

This is obviously Mint Milkshake and Sea Monster. Siiiiigh. There really are no words.

Oh, and Tara is awesome. I know how to say that.

Then, on Thursday, I came home to two packages.. One from.. Rainbow Honey Cosmetics and one from Nail Polish Canada. I will start with my RHC order - only because it is larger.. Yeah.. That's why!

First off.. the packaging.. really?! Stunning! Also, I wanted to make a note of this (and clearly prove to all of you how crazy I am) - but, you know how 'nail mail' usually sort of has a nail polish-y smell? The whole package smelled like bubble gum. I was kind of obsessed with that fact. Yes, I'm very strange.

So. I ordered the Summer of 199X Part II "Rainbow Honey presents its newest collection, Summer of 199X featuring 10 new colors inspired by the 1995 SNES hit, Earthbound." I didn't play that particular game.. but now I'm kind of crushed that I didn't. At least I have these gems in my collection.

On top of the collection, which consists of Magic Cake, Mint Flavor, Apple Kid, Tessie, and I Miss You - I decided to wait 1 hour before putting in my order because a limited edition polish was going to become available.. and it looked magical.. So I waited the hour, promptly put Special World in to my cart, along with Summer Juice & Vanilla Dreams Cuticle Balm and ran off to pay... Ohhhhh but wait.. Because I spent $50+, I got to add Summer Blossom in for free. Awesome! Then, when I opened the package, a mini vial of The Kracken was included (which is a polish in Part I of the 199X collection - rad!).

I am honestly beyond excited to get these all swatched up and play with them. Magic Cake and Mint Flavor are just screaming my name right now while working on this post.

Now I just have some bottle shots of them for you all..

Last, but definitely not least, my NPC order.

Here we have China Glaze Bottoms Up & Highlight of My Summer (look at the perfect minty shade!!!!! !!!!), and Essie In The Cab-Ana (I'm less crazy about this colour now that I have it in my possession - must swatch - the photo makes me think of China Glaze For Audrey aka the bane of existence).

I also used some of my points and picked up OPI Gargantuan Green Grape (more on this in a moment..) and a england Jane Eyre. I also decided to splurge and get piCture pOlish Cosmos as well. I have wanted it for awhile.. That is my justification!

What the freak is this?! According to both bottles, it is OPI Gargantuan Green Grape. See, when I saw it listed as an available polish to use my points on, I thought 'great! my other bottle is on its last legs, and I adore that polish - might as well replace it'. Did they change the formulation of it?! I'm so saaaad! Like, gutted. Sure, the one on the left isn't a bad colour (I showed my sister, I am using her wording), but they are not the same. Siiiiigh.

So. Yup. I went a little polish crazy. I don't need to buy any more for a long while. I'm also now over 500 bottles. Yiiiiikes. (Not really, I'm quite pleased with this.. To be completely honest).

I hope you enjoyed ogling my new goodies - see you all again soon with another post!!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
