Cosmos/Kayla Shevonne Inspired Galaxy Nails

Hey everyone!

The other day aka not last week but the week before - I received my bottle of piCture pOlish Cosmos in the mail.. and I was like 'this would be perfect as a base for really rad galaxy nails!' - check through blogs a couple of days later.. annnnnd Kayla totally did galaxy nails with it as a base! Genius! I went with her look for my inspiration and came up with some really great gems..

I went with a base of Cosmos - which is basically a glorious one coater polish. Then I sponged on some China Glaze White on White, followed by Rainbow Honey The Kracken sponged on the outskirts of the white sponging. I then took some purple glitter from the Love & Beauty Purple/Silver polish and tossed them within the white/Kracken mix. On my thumb, I used some glitter activity from Rainbow Honey Special World to jazz it up a bit more.. and of course some dots/stars using China Glaze White on White.

I also snapped some photos of just Cosmos.. Because it is perfection.

Look at it. I feel my eyes glazing over from lack of blinking because I'm just drinking in the beauty that is this polish.

Siiiigh.

Have a great Monday everyone - I know I will be.. It is a holiday Monday (:

Take care, and see you again soon!!

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
