Haul For The Week Of July 29-Aug 4

Hey everyone..

I know I said I don't do too much hauling.. and I didn't really plan to this week.. But I did pick up some polish and some items.. so I figured I'd just toss them all together. I'm not doing a great job of not making myself look like a shopaholic.. I will remedy that.. I think? Sigh.

I went to Centre Mall on Wednesday evening.. Partially to kill time, partially to get some hair colour, and mostly just to "shop" - again, to kill time. I stopped in at Bath and Body Works and Target.

The Bath and Body Works store opened.. last week.. or 2 weeks ago now? I don't really know. I didn't go when it first opened - apparently the line-up was horrendous. When I stopped in on Wednesday, it was quiet, I quickly grabbed what I wanted, and got out of there.

Ok, I know what you all must be thinking.. Pumpkin scents, Dee?! It is "summer"! Yeah, well, I could happily live in a house infested with the aroma of pumpkin all. year. long. I enjoy it that much. I knew that the pumpkin scents had been released.. and I knew I needed 'Pumpkin Cupcake', and then I'd figure out the other candle to get once in the store. I took a whiff of 'Pumpkin Caramel Latte' and was sold. Easy and quick transaction.

Now, Target opened a couple of weeks ago too.. I have been there 3 times now.. It was so nice on Wednesday there - it was quiet and I actually got to just peruse through the store. I didn't end up buying too many items.. which is probably a good thing. Basically I was familiarizing myself with the store and its products. I felt the need to do that. I have no idea why.

I bought a super comfy pair of pajama capris (the leopard bad-boys there), L'Oreal The Sparklicious nail polish, Rimmel Apocalips in 102 Nova (I nearly sobbed when I saw these available - I have listened/watched them being raved about on youtube for months now) *Side note: I went back on Thursday evening with my sister and bought Stellar for me, and a red for her (Big Bang, I think?)*, Organix Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum (I am out of Moroccan Oil and figured I'd try something different for a bit), and some sweet galaxy leggings!

Thursday.. I bought some books during my lunch break.. (I bought three), then I came home to naaaaail maaaaail!

Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails had a post a couple weeks back using Licorice Allsorts - and I knew immediately that I needed it. Huge licorice allsorts fan - and this polish perfectly sums up what comes along in that bag of awesomeness. BUT.. Since Candy Lacquer was a new-to-me-brand, I decided to snap up another polish - and I decided on Citrus Smoothie. Cannot wait to test out these gems!

Thursday evening.. I bought a pair of shoes.. They were $12.49!

These are the shoes via the website - I am not sure how much longer they will be around.. I really wanted the black pair - I saw them awhile back - then my sister told me they were massively on sale. We went to the store closest to us, and they had red and blue. I settled on the red pair. I could order the black pair online.. but I'm good with these gems. I love the little skulls on them!!

Friday I was fairly well behaved.. I spent the day out and about with my siblings..

Saturday.. Ohhh Saturday. I spent my morning/a touch in to the afternoon getting highlights put in my hair (which I love), then I bought some shampoos.. and.. I bought an eyeshadow palette. Do I need anymore makeup, particularly eyeshadow? No. But. I have been lusting after this palette for many, many days now.. and decided to get myself one more "treat", then calm down for a bit.

It is the Too Faced Pretty Rebel palette.. Go look at it HERE.. and faint over the swatches HERE

That is it.. I'm done.. For this week. Let's hope that next week is muchos quieter as far as spending goes.

See you all again soon!!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
