Kayla Shevonne Inspired Ikat Nails

Hello everyone! Now, I am no stranger to the excellence that is (are?) ikat nails.. but.. I happened to be reading Kayla's blog yesterday (congrats on the wedding.. if you ever happen to read this!) and I stumbled to her tutorials section. I hadn't decided on how I should do my nails.. and then saw the ikat tutorial. I know how to do them, BUT, the colours she had used for her tutorial instantly clicked with my brain and it was basically a done deal. Scope her rad tutorial HERE . I used Lime Crime Crema De Limon as my base colour (yellow), butter London Slapper (teal), China Glaze Liquid Leather (black), and China Glaze White on White. I also used my trusty little nail art brush and topped it all off with some Seche Vite. I started a new job, and am absolutely loving it. Also, added to the fact that it is great, some of the gals in the office are also in to nail polish! Finally people who don't look at you like you're super crazy when you exclaim that you l

My Favo(u)rite Ornament

Hey everyone! I had to share deux photos of the following mani.. because.. I am really highly in like with this polish. Now, I have been sporting it for 5 days with a wealth of cleaning and dishes-doing in that time, so there is some tip wear and chippage.. but I still think it is very effective looking. During my absence, I have not really been keeping up with the new collections.. and then I saw a photo of this polish (My Favo(u)rite Ornament by OPI.. I know.. I honestly could not type it without the 'u', I'm sorry.) and I knew I had to own it. This is two coats with no undies.. yeah.. the coverage is that bad ass. Even looking at them right now, I can easily tell you that these photos do not do this gem polish justice. I highly recommend it - especially for the upcoming holiday season. Seriously. That is all for now - see you all later!!

Grey, Black, White, and Pink.. oh.. my?

Hey everyone!! Long time no see.. Or no post? Either way - it has been a long time. I cannot guarantee I am officially "back", but the other evening, I was finally sporting nail polish after a solid month of bare nails.. and I was like 'I feel like taking this off and doing something '. I hit up pinterest like the champion I am, and found THIS and immediately knew that was what I needed to be sporting on my nails. I used Orly Mirror Mirror, China Glaze White on White, China Glaze Liquid Leather, and OPI Kiss Me on My Tulips.. as well as my little striper brush. That is all for now.. hopefully I will see you all again soon!!
