Late Christmas Nails Post

Hey everyone!

I meant to have this post up quiiiite awhile back.. but.. I got busy.. I got sick.. I got excuses. It happens. Lame, I know.

Anyways.

As you all know, I am a HUGE diehard fan of pinterest - specifically for nail polish inspiration.. and I found a real gem!

I love THIS and then it led me to just1nail.. and like.. honestly - amazing. I cannot wait to creepily copy some more of her nail art activity. She does some awesome work!

Though I had to change one thing.. the reindeer had to have a red nose. It was practically begging me to do so.

I love these. A lot.

We will go thumb through pinky on what I used..

Thumb: 2 coats of OPI My Favorite Ornament
Index: 2 coats of China Glaze White on White and black details using Orly Liquid Vinyl
Middle: 2 coats of Formula X for Sephora Thrilling and white details using China Glaze White on White
Ring: 1 coat of Orly Liquid Vinyl, white details using China Glaze White on White, and a dot of Formula X for Sephora Flashy
Pinky: 2 coats of Color Club High Society and black details using Orly Liquid Vinyl

All topped with Seche Vite.

Taking them off was kind of painful.. but.. many polishes to use, many looks to try.. you know the drill!

I hope everyone had a very great holiday season, and is getting all amped up to bring in the new year! I will have another post up later tonight.. then I should probably work on my NYE nails and get those posted tomorrow.. annnd work on my favourite posts of the year post.. I got a bit of work to do!

See you all again.. in a few hours.

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
