Splatter Floral Nails REDO

Hey everyone! I posted THESE GEMS yesterday.. though I had one small problem with them.. they weren't quite the vibe I was going for. During the writing process of my post, I removed the polish (other than the glittttah) and re-did my nails.. to what I am about to post. These turned out to be the exact vibe I was going for. I ended up being quite pleased with the results. I like everything about them. AND! The splatter nails remind me of jawbreakers.. awwwesome! Yay? Nay? Why don't I just share the array of polish I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat China Glaze White On White butter London British Racing Green China Glaze Cranberry Splash Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Lemon Fizz China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer Formula X For Sephora Flashy China Glaze With Love Illamasqua Load Formula X For Sephora Infatuated China Glaze First Mate China Glaze Sunday Funday OPI My Favorite Ornament Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat Phew! That is all for now

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you

In The Cab-Ana with Foie Gras, Celestia, and My Vampire is Buff

Hey everyone!! Today I did some recreation nails with a glitter twist.. sort of.. anyways.. I loved THESE NAILS , but I don't love For Audrey. In fact, when I moved.. I believe instead of gifting that particular polish, I threw it away.. it has separated quite badly and I am just not a fan. I know, weird. It is China Glaze - I love China Glaze - but me and that particular polish are foes for life. I grabbed the polish I was going to use - everything the same - except for For Audrey.. and did my nails. When I was finished, I felt they weren't quite finished.. I nabbed a Rainbow Honey glitter.. and that helped. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Essie In The Cab-Ana OPI My Vampire Is Buff China Glaze Foie Gras  Rainbow Honey Celestia Poshe Top Coat I quite like these.. but I am kind of thinking I want something different now.. though I don't know what. I have some housework and possibly baking I want to do after work.. maybe I will chip somet

The Baker Street Mix

Hey everyone! It is no secret that I love blue nail polish - I am positive I have shared that fun fact many a-times.. (you know.. how green (any shade, ever) is my favourite colour, but in the nail polish world, I cannot turn down a blue!) that is still how it goes - BUT - I think Nails Inc. Baker Street is my favourite blue polish: 1. It is blue and 2. It is called Baker Street - hello?! Sherlock Holmes reference.. genius! I rest my case. I came across this gem PHOTO via pinterest awhile back.. and thought that it would be a perfect recreation so I could bust out Baker Street.. and then I was like.. why not use some of my other top fave polishes?! Swell! And these beauties were born. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze White on White OPI My Favorite Ornament (phew - I wrote it without using 'u'.. that was unbelievably difficult, lemme tell ya..) Nails Inc. Baker Street Dotting Tool Poshe Top Coat I switched up my t

I Kind Of Like Galaxy Nails

A lot. Hi everyone! Today I will share with you the first of what I am sure will be many posts of galaxy nails for 2014. I can never sport these gems enough. And, I have said it before, but I will say it again for good measure: I honestly believe you cannot do galaxy nails incorrectly. It is impossible. Even with these gems.. the yellow-y/green-y colour I used tinged some of the polish with its strange shade, but that didn't even upset me in the end. These are just that rad. True story.  I used a small army of polish to achieve these mini-masterpieces that you see before you.. in absolutely no particular order, I used: Nails Inc. Connaught Square China Glaze White On White China Glaze Fairy Dust (a must if you want super magical  galaxy nails!!) Formula X For Sephora Zap Formula X For Sephora Omni Formula X For Sephora Eureka China Glaze Cosmic Orly Liquid Vinyl Sponge Dotting Tool Tiny Brush Yup. That is what I used. Plus base coat and top coat. Actu

Pink, Purple, and Blue Gradient..

I know, clever title.. Anyways.. Hi there! Last week, while at work, I asked my gals how I should paint my nails.. Galaxy was the winner, but they wanted to see them in person, so that is for this week.. then I gave some other options, and they chose a gradient mani. No problem. I apologize.. I took these photos after 4 days.. and apparently I dipped my fingers in acid before the photos.. my hands so look dry. Gross. But hey.. it can count as a post.. right?! I used a base of Lime Crime Parfait Day, then sponged on more of that, plus Lime Crime Lavendairy and Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse. Then, when all was said and done, it did look lovely.. but it needed something.. bring in Formula X for Sephora Wham! and this look was complete. That is all for today - see you all again soon!!

Blue & Black Mix

Hey everyone! The other night I sat down with 3 nail polish.. and then it went to 4 because my mani just need something extra.. I went in not having a clue what I was going to do.. and everything turned out kind of rad in the end - except I made one major mistake. I painted my nail just before bedtime and ended up smudging my thumb nail during my sleep. I have been polishing my nails for many, many year.. I know what happens when you go to bed with a not-so-perfectly-dry mani. I guess some things you just never fully learn. I'm a slight genius, I know. I used: Formula X For Sephora Dark Matter, China Glaze Sunday Funday, Formula X For Sephora Turbulent, and China Glaze OMG. Anyways.. that is all for today! I will see you again real soon..

Festive Floral Nail Art ala The Nailasaurus

Hey everyone! It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Sammy aka The Nailasaurus' nail art - I mean, honestly, who isn't, right?! I was pretty enthralled when I saw her Festive Floral Nail Art post.. and I immediately pinned them because I knew it would honestly only be a moment in time before I would replicate them. Sadly, I (as I normally do) didn't take a photo right away.. so.. they are a little bit 'worn'. I even tried to use my watermark to cover a weird chip - I know, I am beyond clever. Love these. The lady at the MAC counter said they remind her of pin-up nails - I couldn't agree more. Thumb & middle finger: 2 coats of China Glaze White on White and Formula X for Sephora Flashy for the dots. Index: 1 coat of FxFS Flashy then 3 coats of OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy With It Ring: 2 coats of CG WoW, roses made with FxFS Flashy and butter London Knees Up, petals made using OPI Jade Is The New Black, and dots made with China Glaze OMG Pinky:

My Fave Manis of 2013

Hello everyone! In 2012, I posted my top 12 faves of 2011, and in 2013, I posted up my 13 faves for 2012.. so.. I guess that means that you can now scope my fave 14 of 2013. I told myself I was not going to do that whole 'wow - where did the year go?!' kind of segment, but seriously, where did the year go?! It was a whirlwind year filled with many ups and downs, but I could not be more happy than I am right now. Honestly. With that.. it is time to see what I consider my favourite manis of 2013. There are really in no particular order via favourite-ness.. and I will post a link for each photo. Enjoy! And welcome to 2014!! I had to cut out 3 extras.. and I thought getting to 14 faves would be difficult! I did a lot of nail activity this past year that I apparently really liked. Kudos to this guy.. er.. gal.. uhh.. you know what I mean! Black & White Skittles Black and white day of a challenge.. why not go skittles.. and why not make it count? I really like the

NYE Nails + Happy New Year

Hey everyone.. You're going to, again, get two posts in one day. I had meant to snap photos of my NYE nails yesterday and edit and upload then, but, well, you know that thing with life and it wanting to get in the way. I had an awesome NYE. I was celebrating a birthday, so basically I was not home all day, then, when I got home, it was time to do a quick tidy-up as we were suddenly going to be hosting a birthday/NYE bash at our place. Luckily it was a lot of fun - I hope everyone had an excellent time bringing in the new year, whether you were out partying, at a party, or just home with loved ones, or even home by yourself - everyone has their 'thing'. Thank-you all for sticking with me through 2013. I think I went on 2 hiatus periods. Lame. I am hoping I won't do that this year. I strive to just continue on my merry way.. finding nail art I like, and trying to replicate it as best as I can, and then sharing it all with you. Anyways. My NYE nails are what I cons
