31DC2014 - Day 1 - Red

Hello everyone! The #31DC2014 starts NOW! It was kind of funny this morning, I was going through instagram and was seeing posts about it.. and I am like 'pffht.. it starts tomorrow!' Then I did some quick calculations and realized today aka right now - it is September 1st. Wat?! (Side note: I did mean to type 'wat' and not 'what'.)

Once that realization set in, I hustled out of bed and sprinted to my computer to get my post up. Here goes. Day 1 is the prompt of red. Perfect. Cherry Nails it is!


 
I first went through and painted a base colour on each nail; thumb, index and pinky all got a solid 1 coat (!!!!) of OPI Coca Cola Red, while middle and ring received 2 coats of Formula X for Sephora White Matter.

Then I started doing the fun stuff. My index finger got a 2 coat treatment of Essie Leading Lady; thumb and pinky got dottified using FxFS White Matter; middle and ring got some cherry activity using OPI Coca Cola Red, Essie Leading Lady, Essie Mojito Madness, and FxFS White Matter. Once I was finished that.. I knew they weren't quite what I wanted. I grabbed my tiny brush and added some Formula X for Sephora Dark Matter dots and felt instantly pleased. Now they were finished!


These are my nails for day 1.. yay! Day 1 down.. 30 more to go! Let's do this!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! Countdown to Halloween 2017: Gross Nails

Hey everyone! Not sure what else to call these.. other than gross.. these are the nails I imagine some sadistic swamp-dwelling mother of mutants to have.. yeah, that. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat OPI Coca-Cola Red China Glaze Cranberry Splash KL Polish Snickerdoodle OPI Suzi - The First Lady of Nails OPI My Vampire Is Buff Orly Liquid Vinyl Sponge Dotting Tool Fake Nails These were rather fun to make.. but dangerous!
