Countdown To Halloween: 4 Days

Hey everyone!!

Soooo.. the post for today is another one that I was going to redo, but then I decided that it isn't that I don't like the outcome, I just don't like that at the time I was sick and had to blow my nose.. and my nails were not quite dry.. BUT.. I also don't mind showing you when mistakes happen - this is my real life.

As I have mentioned many, many times in previous posts - I have an awesome sister and friends who constantly send me rad photos of manis they want me to try - my sister sent me a wealth of photos with manis that I should try to recreate for Halloween. This is one of them. Bloody fingerprints.

Looking back on the whole thing meow, there are a few things.. ok, one thing for sure I would want to try differently.. and that is a. either using a different colour of red, or b. using acrylic paint instead of nail polish. Things to take note of for next year (for myself), or for you right now, if you want to give this a go.

Also. Maybe make sure you do not have a death cold whilst painting your nails.. you will want a solid block of time where you do not have to blow your nose. Seriously. I actually had my nose plugged with tissue, but it really did not help. Dummmb!

I used:
FxFS White Matter
FxFS Flashy

I did a solid coat (or two) on my nails of White Matter, painted some Flashy on my finger, stamped it once on paper, then pressed onto my nails.. I wasn't thrilled with the first go over, so majority of my nails are "double finger stamped".. because I am awesome.

Again, love this whole method, it usually looked amazing - and this is still rad - minus the smudged activity because my nose would not leave me alone. Sigh.

That is all for today -- see you again tomorrow!!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
