Countdown To Halloween: HALLOWEEN!

Heeeeey everyone!

It is finally herrrrre! YAY! Halloween - Happy Halloween to anyone reading this!

Today I share with you the nails I will be sporting for this tremendous day.. they are a take on nails I did in 2012.. and my most popular re-pin via pinterest.. You can scope those HERE.

I actually ended up redoing 4 nails on my 'photo hand' because they just were not.. grotesque enough for my liking. I was cool with my pinky.. but the others needed.. more. I also decided to skip top coat on the go over.. except for on the bloody wounds.. they needed that glossy, or in this case, oozy look.

These nails make my twisted heart smile.

Enjoy?

I used:
  • FxFS Flashy
  • FxFS Dark Matter
  • Color Club Nomadic In Nude
  • Color Club Red-ical Gypsy
  • China Glaze Trendsetter
  • China Glaze Mahogany Magic
  • ...and my finger.

Ugh. So good! So pleased!

Oh, and this is my "look" for Halloween.

I based it off of THIS youtube video. This was my trail run. I know the things I want to tweak to my likings, but I am fairly pleased!

I hope everyone has a safe and amazing, and most importantly: fun, Halloween!

Annnd.. tell me in the comments - what kind of nails are you rocking for this glorious day??

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
