Greyed Gradient

Hey everyone! Do you even just feel.. grey? Because I sure do. And not in a depressed kind of way, but just that a grey polish is the one polish that will solve all your nail problems for the day. That is what happened here. I didn't know what to do, exactly, but I knew that it had to revolve around grey nails, and one polish in particular: Orly Mirror Mirror. I went with my gut, and was pleased I did. I did my two coats of this gem, then looked at my desk, saw a glitter polish sitting around, and knew what I should do. Gradient. I used: Orly Mirror Mirror China Glaze Dancing & Prancing I got a lot of compliments on these.. I think it is because that glitter really gets it moment to shine because of the super neutral background. Who doesn't love that? That is all for today - see you all again soon!!

Cajun Shrimp

Hey everyone! This gem polish was added to my collection a few months back.. and I only just recently got around to using it. I kind of really love it! It is just so fun! It is a bright coral-y colour, and I am such a sucker for those orange-y kind of polish shades. Love. After painting that lovely colour, I was like 'what now?' So I grabbed some glittery goodness and did this 1/2 frame detail. A patient at the office said these nails are 'dragon lady' nails, and I kind of liked that title. Made me feel like a slight bad ass, and anytime I can get that feeling, I cherish it! I used: OPI Cajun Shrimp FxFS Out Of Sight I just need to add a side note here.. The Formula X for Sephora nail polish are quickly becoming some of my favourites to work with. The formulation is amazing. I have basically used up all of my white and black mini bottles. I feel like I need to splurge on the full size bottles. They are even perfect for stamping. Love! That is all

smART Nails Stencils + Spikes

Hey everyone! Today I bring you some nail art featuring 3 never before used things to me: smART Nails stencils , nail spikes, and Orly Mirrorball. Question: are you ready for greatness? Well, even if you are not, you're about to have your eyes assaulted by some.. here goes!  Pretty rad, right?! I used: FxFS White Matter Orly Neon Heat Orly Mirroball FxFS Dark Matter smART Nails stencil in P041 Nail Spikes (bought off of ebay) Dotting Tool I was contacted a little while ago by a rep for smART Nails asking if I would like to try out some stencils, and I wanted to give them a whirl because.. a stencil.. for your nails? Yeah! I think it adds a fun element to those that maybe are not too keen about freehanding, and, who also might not be to great at grasping the concept of nail stamping (me?). I saw these skull stencils and knew I needed them immediately! The usage was actually really quite easy. Just make sure that you stay patient and allow your polish to d

Blue Black Ombre + Snow-Mies

Hey everyone! A few days back.. ok.. last week.. my sister tagged a photo on instagram for me to scope , and it was a photo of absolutely stunning blue-black ombre nails. I of course had to replicate that combo asap. Once I was done.. my new bottle of China Glaze Chillin' With My Snow-mies was calling out to me.. and the completeness that it added.. stellar. Amazing. I was sad when I had to remove this. I used: FxFS Omni FxFS Dark Matter China Glaze Chillin' With My Snow-mies This also reminded me how much I love ombre nails. Now I want to ombre all the things! Err.. all the nails! That is all for today. See you again later!!

My Dumb & Dumber Tuxedo Nails

Hey everyone! I meant to have these photos edited and posted up to coincide with the release of Dumb & Dumber To, but, of course that did not happen. Sorry! About a week and a half ago, I sent a text to my sister asking what I should do for nail paint-age, and she said 'tuxedo nails, but Dumb & Dumber style' - genius! I then decided to do them a smidge later so that it would match up with the release date.. had them painted and photographed, but not edited. Now that I went to edit the photos, I noticed that out of all the photos I took, I only had 1 that was sort of in focus.. found 1 more that sort of worked. The neon orange bugged my camera right now (also note that I really need a new camera) So. You're getting sub-par photos of my tuxedo mani - Dumb & Dumber style. I tried doing some ruffle activity, but had to re-do the nails a few times. Just could not get the look I was going for. Just did basic tuxedo nails instead. I used: Essie Ora

My Firmoo Glasses

Hey everyone! Many, many moons ago.. I was contacted by a rad gem over at firmoo.com / firmoo.ca asking if I would be interested in reviewing a pair of glasses. Umm.. awesome.. because I also happen to be a goggle-wearer, so I was jazzed! I picked out an absolutely beautiful pair of tortoiseshell glasses, and they were basically in my mitts within 10 days. Seriously. Fast. I adore them, but, unfortunately, my eyes do not. I am going to say this is user error, there is a section where you do some measurements so that the lenses are aligned correctly, I figured I had mine correct, but I guess not. I know my prescription off by heart, but not my dimensions. I have that piece of prescriptive paper around somewhere. I should find it. See how far off I am. When I wear these puppies, it is almost insta-headache and very weird vision. At times I can see fine, but it is like my depth perception has been eliminated. I have banged into walls and done some miss stepping while sport
