Countdown to Christmas: 1 Day aka Holly Nails

Hey everyone!

Just sneaking in with this post.. it has been a crazy last couple of days, and I was worried if I started the series before actually 'finishing' all looks, I would get caught at the end.. I sort of have, but, I did just complete this one.. so that gives me a few hours of today, and some of tomorrow to do my Christmas nails. A friend today gave me the idea of what to do for the nails I sport on Christmas. I like it. I will go with it. You shall see tomorrow.

Enough babbling, on to the nails.

Using this PHOTO as inspiration, and my smART nails nail art stencils, I came up with this..

I used:
  • China Glaze White on White
  • Orly Liquid Vinyl
  • butter London British Racing Green
  • OPI Coca-Cola Red
  • OPI My Favorite Ornament
  • Dotting tool
  • Little brush
  • smART nails P105

I actually quite like these stencils. Though, I did cheat - slightly. I was not waiting for the holly sprigs to dry, so I just used a dotting tool to create the berries. But. All in all, a very simple way to achieve a very intricate look. Minus my lines. Let's not pay attention to those wonky gems.

Merry Christmas eve, everyone. See you again tomorrow to share with you the nails I will personally be sporting for Christmas day. Have an amazing sleep and I hope Santa brings you rad gifts.. or, my favourite thing, time with your loved ones!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
