TTDIHALC - Day 20 - Fav Colour

Hey everyone!

The prompt for today is 'fav colour', to which I was like 'do I go with my in real life favourite colour or my nail polish favourite colour?' In the end, I went with my in real life favourite colour, which is green, any and all shades. Always makes my brain happy.

Then I remembered THIS PIN and was like 'that is exactly what I need to do!'

One kind of baby problem came up.. my polish did some very weird activity when sprayed with the alcohol. I don't know if it was because of the polish type I used.. I normally do that method with black nail polish and have zero issues.. so I am wondering if this metallic-y bad boy just wasn't affected the same way. Eh. I am still beyond thrilled with the result.

Also. I do apologize.. as I was editing these photos, I noticed that my cuticle oil was still.. visible. My fingers have been very dry, and I pick my nails/skin on a normal day, but lately I have been pretty stressed out (many factors.. illness, work, etc) so I have been picking and picking until I draw blood. I was able to edit wounds out, but yeah. I am making it a new habit that when I started picking, I have to either stop and apply lotion or cuticle balm/oil. It is starting to help. Annnnyways. Nail time!

I used:
  • unlabeled Color Club dark green polish
  • OPI Just Spotted The Lizard
  • Alcohol spray

I absolutely love this whole water-marbling-without-water-marbling effect. Obsessed!

See you again in a couple of days!! Fav design prompt is next.. any ideas what I will do??

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
