TTDIHALC - Day 28 - Match OOTD

Hey everyone!

Well.. here it is.. the prompt that actually gives me anxiety! Why? Well.. I am an advocate of making sure I do not do my nails to match my outfits.. which is never really hard, so to make it match, on purpose.. merrr! BUT! I kept my outfit suuuuper simple (which is why I didn't photograph my full outfit (seriously, black leggings, black cardigan, black tank top.. boring!) and made my nails match my scarf.. that I am obsessed with.

Ugh. This scarf is my life! I got it fairly recently at Aldo.. I had this one in my mitts, then I spotted another one, and asked my BFF which one.. and she was about to hide them behind her back, I got nervous, and told her to give this one back immediately, haha. It is GINORMOUS and suuuuper warm. I love it. Anyways. I figured.. why not do my nails to match that and toss on some red lips too? Yup, done.

Also, can we please see how pale I actually am via my hand? I can add some colour to zee face with contouring/blush.. but my hands.. dead giveaways. Jerks!

Anyways.. I used:
  • China Glaze With Love
  • Orly Liquid Vinyl
  • Little brush

I did little lines very sloppily, but I liked that.. and, when I was out running errands.. I did get my nails matching my scarf comments. Hated it.. because I would get that look like 'really...?' and I was like 'yup.. gotta go...' so that is that!

Next post is the last one for this months worth of challenges.. Silver.. ooooh!!!

Neutral Dots

Hey everyone!

Long time, no blog. I have just been soso bad about getting photos of my nails.. going to try to end the year on a high note. Fingers crossed!

I apologize for how drrrry my hands/cuticles look in these photos. You know how you know that your hands are dry, but you don't think they are that bad, and maybe they aren't, but a photo makes it look 50x worse? That.

I was able to snap up this set of 4 Butter London gem polishes awhile back.. very neutral, but it had a particular shade I had been eyeing.. but that is not what I have used here, naturally.

I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
Butter London Ta-ta!
Sally Hansen White On!
Dotting Tool
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

That is all for today. I have mostly been wearing a wealth of polka dotted nail art.. there is something I want to re-visit from a couple of years back - will probably do that this weekend, and then keep going from there. Halloween is on the horizon.. so.. that will be a thing too. Take care…

Black Marble (sort of).

Hey everyone!

-Insert gratuitous reasoning(s) of why I have been away-

Ok, now that that is out of the way, hi!

I just realized I still have a couple post photos stocked up. Sigh. I haven't even uploaded all that is currently living on my camera. The fear is real.

That is for another day. Mayhaps this weekend.

Until then.

I think I said it at some point on my blog, but I feel like 2017 is going to be the year that I constantly do faux marble nails. Note: not watermarbling. I have given in to that failed activity far too many times.

No, I mean the classy kind of marble. You know.

This time, I did it in reverse, because, why not?

 It counts, right?

Ugh. I love it.

All right, that is all for today. See you all again soon (I promise).

Grungey Leopard Nails

Hey everyone!

Today I have some grungey leopard print nails for you.. I had a different direction I had wanted to go in last night, but then ended up with this. Not disappointed.

I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base CoatButter London High TeaOrly Liquid VinylSally Hansen Terra-CoppaAcetoneBrushDotting ToolSeche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I did two coats of the base colour (High Tea), then I was adding "splatter" prints with black (Liquid Vinyl) but felt they were too perfect.. so.. I decided to douse them with some acetone.. then.. I just decided to "smoke" them out.. which made the nails look grungey. But. This is me. I couldn't stop there. I decided to make dots (Terra-Coppa) throughout the smokey black, then make it into leopard print. Love.

That is all for today - see you all again soon!
