TTDIHALC - Day 4 - Sparkles

Hey everyone!

For day 4 of this #nailartjan challenge, it calls for sparkles.. and I had the perfect photo for inspiration. Scope THIS PHOTO here by mrslochness on instagram.. go drool, as I have already done. You see why I had to take a stab at this, right?!

I wish I would have captured a bit of video for this.. you cannot imagine the amount of sparkly goodness that this mani gives off. Sparkle heaven, really.

I feel like I have to get used to my new camera more.. I feel like these photos are not doing this mani justice.. but.. it is the thought that counts, right?!

I used:
  • China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • China Glaze Midnight Kiss
  • China Glaze De-Light
  • OPI Comet In The Sky
  • Gelous Advanced Nail Gel Coat
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

I started off with a base of gold polish, then painted on my gold glitter polish. Once that dried for a few, I tossed on a coat of Comet In The Sky, then a coat of Gelous followed by some Seche. I used the Gelous to give the glitters a smooth finish rather than that gritty texture that multiple glitter polish layering tends to give off.

That is all for today.. see you again next time!!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
